Healthcare is a vastly complicated subject, especially when it comes to so many people (hundreds of millions in this country alone) with so many healthcare exchanges and companies that have to work across state lines with each state having their own distinct laws as pertains to healthcare.

My question is how would people know that they are United employees/flying on United passes? I assume that they are just sitting in regular seats with everyone else and don’t get any particular special treatment beyond the free passes. After all, they are traveling and not on duty.

Since the issue for United is the employee dress code for people flying on employee passes, I wouldn’t be mad if they’d made the dad change too. They have every right to require that people who work for them meet a certain level of formality when redeeming a benefit.
