Sounds like he needs new buzzwords. Glad you got new machines. Also is your place BYOD? Is it big enough to use MDMs? How would they expect you to get the stuff you need on the machine if you just buy it yourself? Ugh. Sorry. Grumpy.

It gives me hits of dopamine.
Thank you so much for your help. :)
Thanks for responding! In a somewhat related question, What would you recommend to do if you wanted to find a new doctor? I was lucky to find one I actually do genuinely like (despite the dread, he’s a really great guy) but just wanted your take in case it helped someone else getting back into going to the doctor (or…
He got nailed because he DIDN’T pay his taxes.
Any recommendations for patients who have really bad white coat syndrome? I’ve recently finally gotten a PCP again after not having been to the doctor since I was a tween and while I’m trying my best, I feel such intense dread before going. It’s getting better as I go more, but it’s still *a thing*.
From Wikipedia: The term commonwealth does not describe or provide for any specific political status or legal relationship when used by a state. Those that do use it are equal to those that do not. My therapist told me I should get exercise and it could help, but like, she also recommended good sleep hygiene and eating well. Like, those things DID make me feel better but Also I still take an antidepressant and go to therapy because that’s not enough.
Yeah, we can throw out this take if we equate running with fucking raw water.
Friscos are so good.
I live within walking distance (in an basically unwalkable city) from both Steak and Shake and a Culver’s.
You put the best burger in the worst spot and I’ll never forgive.
I totally understand.
I’m with you 1000%.
Opening up a kindle app or a pdf of a book while waiting for the doctor instead of checking facebook really is great and I’d recommend it to anyone.
I’m pretty sure over half the folks on the Loseit subreddit (one of the most supportive weight loss places out there) uses Happy Scale (ios) or Libra (android).
Data points are really interesting! Your strange morning ritual really appeals to me. Maybe a great way for me to get over the hatred I have of the blood pressure cuff.
Android equivalent is Libra and while I’m way back up on weight now that i’m off the wagon, it helped me with the issues you’re describing a lot back when I was much more motivated/disciplined.
I’d say you’re right about celebrating and tracking “Non-Scale” victories! They’re in many ways much more important that a number, but I think it’s an important way to track over time and turning something that gives some people a lot of anxiety (your weight) into a data point FOR ME made it less triggering for lack…
A good android equivalent to Happy Scale is Libra. It’s what I use.
