It's good but Random Spirit Lover is probably my favourite album of all time. Not a single weak track, and Krug hadn't quite disappeared up the 'who needs melodies and riffs when you can just mash the synth for a while' wormhole.

Stephen Fry was probably my favourite TV performer of all. I'd argue he was even quicker witted than Paul.

I always thought he fit the show perfectly. He was there because there had to be a host/narrator figure, not to be part of the show himself.

Arguments with Greg aside, the only way Clive was part of the act was his increasingly fast 'goodbye and good night' routine. And really, the more he sped it up, the more time was left over for the performers, so everybody won.

Even more jarring is Ryan in the early years of the UK show, when he was giving everything 110%, versus by the time the US version came along and he was happy to coast on his greatest hits.

I think this will all be very important going forward. The Hound, the Brotherhood Without Banners and the Lord of Light are all characters that would have been tossed aside by now if that wasn't the case.
