That’s true but the difference in sharpness in anything other than massively blown up pixel peeping is not really applicable to the real world most of the time. Of course there are always situations where it might actually make a difference

That’s true but the difference in sharpness in anything other than massively blown up pixel peeping is not really

I’m basically with you although I wouldn’t use the word communist for myself I would more use the word socialist but I do agree that I have taken ride shares because they are the best option available at the moment and I do have friends that drive for them so... 🤷‍♂️

And you shouldn’t bear any guilt however you should bear some common decency and empathy and acknowledge the fact that a lot of these people that you claim make poor life decisions are forced into the decisions they make because they may be a poor decision but it is the best out of a series of poor options

How? By going to school when they need to be working for income? by racking up massive student debt and paying into their 60s? by providing a standard living income to all citizens the government would make the economy boom, it would eliminate the problem of minimum-wage because jobs could be a dollar an hour and

that doesn’t make it right that you’re forced into that position and it doesn’t make it right but companies are abusing your situation for their benefit

You forgot to mention the actual culprit, corporate and individual greed abusing loopholes creating a desperate economic situation where people can do the math but do not have a better way to acquire currency, and then having enough money because of said greed and bad practices to lobby corrupt government into

Yeah that’s be great in theory except you can’t see the rides destination until after you accept it so you have no way of knowing if they’re going in the same direction as you or completely the opposite direction! you cannot do this while in route to anywhere

But what should those people do then? those are the only jobs available some places.

Nobody’s trying to change the system (except Uber and Lyft) people are trying to make companies that are not abiding by the rules and laws of the system to do so

OK, and target and Walmart can state in their hiring documentation that all their employees are subcontractors too, that still won’t make it true

Where? Coal mining?

Ah yes the low skilled lazy poor person argument

Nobody forced them to do it” especially not housing costs, feeding their children and making sure that they have clothing yeah but totally not FORCED to do it, they could just not work, I’m sure that would be fine.

Yeah but you missed the first rule of capitalism, when capitalism is good for the business at the expense of the worker and public then capitalism is great, but when capitalism is not good for the business then clearly the rules need to be bent the businesses needs to receive a bail out and government protection

Don’t forget that the government also counts all of these otherwise unemployed gig workers as employed for employment statistics too

Yes  and those people do unfortunately some of them that’s the only job and only income they have so they do it full-time and they are being exploited by the company when they do so

At best he’s waiting at home, then he’s driving to pick up the ride taking ride to their destinations and then driving home or to pick up the next ride etc. in three hours of work to make 20 bucks guarantee you he spent at least $10 worth of gas

Yeah but really think about it these things have done exactly what 99% of all Silicon Valley companies do, they explode, they make a shit ton of their money for their investors, while the company itself crashes and burns and fucks over anybody below the executive or investment level

How much did you spend on gas?

Depends on how much gas and wear and tear he put on his car in those three hours, Averaging just 30 miles an hour in many parts of the country would put him perilously close to spending $20 in gas
