Jesus. I've read so many stories like this that if I ever get pregnant I'm going to not explain shit to anyone and just say, "OMG! I didn't know you were a doctor!"

Here is the crazy ass thing about this argument though. When women (or gays, or Asians, et. al.) are under represented in media, it's up to them to make themselves represented. Then when they do make themselves represented, they're now on the hook for representing everyone else too.
Here to jump on the "I LOVE MY IUD" bandwagon. Insertion sucked, but the nonexistent/extremely light periods and total lack of worry over getting pregnant are totally worth it. I was on the pill for years and after getting an IUD instead, my sex drive shot up. Nosy doctors can pry my IUD from my cold, dead fingers.
They are not more popular because they are DENIED to women who ask for them, particularly young, single women.
I LOOOOOVE my IUD. I feel like right after the 99.8% effectiveness stat, they should just put "THESE THINGS CAN MAKE YOU NEVER HAVE PERIODS" in giant red letters.
You can't spell "Miles" without "lies."
No, she and her doctors have no idea what's good for the baby. I, random internet commenter who just polished off a box of Swiss Cake Rolls, know best. Why doesn't she love her baby?!
That'll be me next time around! Whatever! Apparently we'll live to be 95.
Only in terms of pregnancy. 35 is the beginning of "advanced maternal age." Thanks, science!
It's because you're using an adjective as a noun. Females=Not okay. Female scientist, female police officer = okay (in contexts where it's necessary or relevant to point out that the scientist, police officer, etc. is a woman). Same with blacks, whites, etc. "Blacks are all over the television"=no, sir. "Black…
Short answer: female is a term that could be applied to half the animal kingdom and a good number of plants. It's not specific to humans, and because most people mentally rank humans at the top of the biological heap, calling a human being by a term that could be applied to animals is not just othering, it's…
He lost me in the first bit because I just REALLY can't stand when men refer to women as "females." It just seems so derogatory and objectifying to me. Like they are trying to reduce us to our most primitive state.
She and French Montana have been fornicating "like rabbits," says a source, and now they have fertilized an embryo together.
"Sir, they say he might be armed"

The Church of the Sub-Genius prevails! (Yep, I'm old and I'm still cracking late 80's/early 90's underground culture jokes).
Anti-psychotics are prescribed to a number of people with various mental illnesses, from depression and anxiety to schizophrenia. Psychosis is a symptom, not a disease. And people suffering psychosis don't actually have the frame of mind to reasonably plan and commit mass murder usually. But there are always some…
I work in mental health, and based on the videos, this guy IN NO WAY meets the definition of psychotic. Angry, depressed, misogynist? Yes! But he is certainly not out of touch with reality. In addition, it's very difficult to hospitalize a person or force psychiatric medications on a person unless they demonstrate…
"Secretary of State Clinton" for her and "Bill" for him?
