The Descent was mediocre, cuz it wasn’t even developed by the DA team, but instead, the guys who’s made SWTOR.

Sounds like aggrandizing to me. It’s probably more that you got used to the awful writing once a decent plot set in than it was the bad writing just suddenly turning good and all the bad jokes disappearing.
That reaper isn’t just any reaper. It’s Harbinger, and I’m a Mass Effect nerd :D:D
...and if it was EA or any other western corporate company Kotaku wouldn’t be so critical. They’re too good friends.
It’s not for fun that there’s a “Please make Mass Effect Andromeda more like Blops 2” thread over at Bioware’s forums.
It is a good game but just not in its core mechanics and that’s where we get into the common criteria of what good games are according to the majority of people (for some reason). Even when you’re playing a hardcore RPG all most seem to care about are “is it fun on a moment-to-moment basis”. It’s the argument that…
OMG, how have I not noticed? LMAO
I wouldn’t take it that personal though.
Well. Disney officially ruined the continuing Star Wars canon, then.
This is intentional and self-aware. It’s one of Kojima’s recognizable conventions, that’s not bad!
They are releasing an extended Romance Arc for Triss through a patch after NG+ though, because they wanna address the fact that Triss becomes very passive shortly after Kaer Morhen.
Raising more questions than they answer has become Bioware’s speciality at this point. ME3 had tons of interesting story-directions and then it collapsed under its own weight by adding more to the plot that didn’t gel well and basically discarding several subplots, and to be honest DA2 did the same, which annoys me…
Character interactions are usually not well done in the DLCs from Bioware except for the obvious Citadel DLC. Neither ME2’s or ME3’s DLCs made good use of the party banter, so I don’t expect it from these DLCs unless they outright make an expansion or release a Citadel type DLC again. (which I don’t care if they do,…
Inquisition was kinda mediocre overall, so to me, this DLC felt downright bad, not to mention you can easily tell it’s Bioware Austin’s work on the cutscenes in their use of props, camera shots and whatnot and especially in the enemy design. It just looks much more static than usual, which isn’t saying much because I…
My favorite Lambert moment is when he goes “Sounds like a job...” *he puts on the hat* “...for Vesemir!”
And Bloodborne DLC.
Considering Yen was only ever refered to in W1 and W2 and now she’s here and it uses flashbacks to build up the romance, and several scenes and an entire quest revolving around their love, made me feel like CDPR wanted Yen to be the canon romance, but because they had made Witcher 1 and 2 they couldn’t just abandon…
I gotta say I agree on this, as my friend got the worst ending too, and given what I saw him choose for most of his playthrough I felt like the underlying algorithm that decides which ending you get based on your choices is kind of simple and not clearly defined enough. It’s like a point system that for every bad…
I think we’ll see Iorveth as DLC.
Very cool, but when we have a sword-fighting prototype like this it’s almost a shame it won’t be used in some kind of epic fantasy RPG.
