I for one do see some cool opportunities in this.

Fuck Konami. Not in the obligatory sense, but that last sentence from his quote literally made me think that again. “Fuck Konami”.
You kind of answered your own question lol. Yes, that’s why there’s still child porn somewhere. Cuz the pedos appreciate it.
#1 is such a broad stroke. You’re seperating it from all the previous elements you mentioned which make up the total value of environmental storytelling.
I totally agree. Even better than V and VI.
You merely confirmed my presumptions. I’m not interested in this game after all. It’s like EA developers are interested in showing their work rather than showing their product, and like you wrote: “Discuss technicalities” which are ultimately meaningless when it comes to how the game plays.
I’m starting to think this is what ended up being cut since the game had that questionable delay. It’s very polished but I feel like something was cut.
I like it. It's obviously bad writing, the gimmick of the game largely goes against what they're trying to do with the game, but it's one of those games where I just don't care about my criticisms for it. Life is Strange stands out and I feel like the people who made it really believe in it, therefore I like it too.
Your username and the first line of text in your post tells me enough about you to know I should just ignore you. Be more subtle.
You speak the truth. I like that!
Brian Ashcraft. Layton 7 is not a "Professor Layton" game. It's another mobile game that like Layton Brothers uses the "Layton" brand to trick customers into thinking it's anything like a proper Layton game.
I'm not sure I would say it isn't subtle. The game is clearly geared towards making you feel like a hero but there is a subtext that's much much different than our standard hero's journey.
I love this theory but I'm sure it wasn't the creator intent though.
This guy EmceeProphit has some really, really great analysis video series on OoT, Majora's Mask and Wind Waker. It's pretty much about the same things Patrick wrote about but there are some different aspects of it that makes it even more fascinating as well, like its use of the 5 stages of grief as a theme. It really…
Why is it an update on Kotaku though? This is regular pewdiepie stuff, nothing to see here.
The Blade Dance is so annoying in online because it's constantly interrupting others.
Gunlance + sleep coating or sleep element is insane for multiplayer.
Halfway into 3U I realized how awesome Great Sword was once I saw a tutorial on how to use it properly, espcially for multiplayer so you don't interrupt others or send them flying (even though that can be fun to do as trolling)
Wow after years of scumbag capcom, scumbag EA and Activision not ever bowing down to fans when their games have flaws and this happens. I did not expect it. Good guy Capcom. Wow :D
It's more attractive since 360 controller support and HDMI-TV and Steam Big Picture mode etc. are so widespread.
