But I’ve worked with assholery. It does have a unique quality to generate creative outcomes. Sure, it broke me psychologically for a decade, but man were those video games we made good.”

Agree with all of this. Having said that, the only real point I was trying to make was that it wasn’t surprising to me that Andrew faces multiple charges of sexual assault. He seemed very comfortable with transgressive behavior, and did not seem to have a lot of respect for other people’s boundaries. Any additional

Well, my first thought would be to not publicly broadcast their rantings and incoherence and let them rant to themselves in a dark corner. I think that would result in a quieter outcome for everyone.

Yes, sure. Clearly the statement was value-laden. It just wasn’t originally intended to be that way. The things we would like to communicate are not always the things that we successfully transmit.

Okay, I see. This did not strike me a hostile statement nor value-laden. I just assumed it was commonly accepted that we should try to help people in need.

I am sorry if I am coming across as hostile. “Wants to scream nonsense” was a direct quote from his post.

I’m sorry, but what? In what world does the subject need to benefit from an interview in order for it to be valid? In what world is it wrong for a journalist to try and progress their career by conducting interviews?”

From The AV Club review of the show:

It’s not wrong. It’s mean-spirited and self-serving. It was done in consideration of his own career ambitions, and not to the benefit of the interview subjects.

These interview subjects are all behaving terribly. They are broken people with bad wiring who are of questionable mental stability. Shining a light on them and holding them up for public ridicule is the exact opposite of what a kind and thoughtful person would do. If a person “wants to scream nonsense” we should find

Not surprised in the slightest. This guy doesn’t seem like a person who respects privacy, boundaries, other people’s dignity, or letting people off the hook. He basically checks every box in the list.

I’m curious to see when they’ll make the correction...

So Gunn is too busy to direct a big budget movie because of his job as a studio boss, but he just knocks out a script for that movie like in his spare time?”

Right. I thought it was pretty easy to parse.

Heche’s kids weren’t the ones who were negligent.” Right. But why should they get a big inheritance and benefit financially from the accident, while the victim is left out in the cold? When Anne Heche died, she left a lot of money behind. Giving it all to her kids without giving any to the victim seems pretty

I believe calling a person by the name they have chosen for themselves is just a basic sign of respect. When that person also happens to be a woman and black, I try to extend them the courtesy of using their name correctly because they deal with enough sexism and racism without having to pile on.

The rap star is also currently under fire for lyrics that seem to involve Meg The Stallion”

And yet, it seems, you did not manage to mention any of them.

Kanye is still in the news. People are still paying attention to him. He looks like he might end up as the leading voice on Parler, which is a dumpster fire of right wing propaganda. He dominates the news cycle whenever he says anything controversial.

It’s one person in an entire city. Pretty sure you’ll find a single violent individual in every city.
