Eh. Reading the facts of the story, this seems like a pretty straightforward, open-and-shut case.

It seems pretty hard to slice having your work called racist, no matter how spot on the assessment is, by a director as not being against the material interest of a member.

I feel like the author of this article lacks imagination. Charlize Theron was also too pretty to play Aileen Wuornos -- but that worked out just fine. This kind of casting is not unprecedented.
