Reviews are the one source of information a consumer has to validate online products will do what the seller says they will. On more than one occasion I’ve ignored bad reviews only to receive a product that sucks exactly as described, so I rely pretty heavily on the 1v5 star ratio - which makes me an easy target for

How about the “MAGAccess Victory Patriot Network” - split the profits 50/50 with ya.

Pretty sure it’s the “Zuck Sucks (but ima still use FaceBook)” GOP.

You had me at Fucker Carlson. Betting there is no amount of dirt that would *currently* stick to his slimy shell, unfortunately - dude *currently* makes way too much coin for Murdoch and co. Can’t last forever - tides change and he’ll be cast out at some point, once he stops earning. Might be a while though...

I’m not debating whether or not vegetables are good for me, but if someone were mandating that I eat them every day, I’d tell them to back off. Doesn’t mean I’m anti-vegetable.

What if Tucker Carlson didn’t actually know what he was talking about? What if Fox lawyers argued no reasonable viewer would take him seriously, and a federal judge agreed? Would anyone still pay attention to him? I’m just asking the questions...

re: wifi conflict - not hard to zigbee and 2.4 wifi channels from stepping on each other, but definitely takes awareness and control over your setup.

Yep @parkerthon, easy setting in the Hue app - a little trickier pushing that config in Home Assistant but not hard once you figure it out. I think there are a few requirements also - maybe gen2+, doesn’t work for white-only bulbs?

Agree on all accounts. I’ve been in the HA scene for a long time - started with Hue, but quickly wanted a unified hub. Moved to Wink, but it was buggy / limited. Moved to SmartThings, but then Samsung happened - killed the app, device handlers, and I grew to hate the internet / cloud reliance and related outages.

Just added a few of those new bluetooth bulbs - they work great. Replaced Hue hub with Home Assistant a while back - now my Zigbee mesh includes Hue bulbs/motion sensors/light strips, Axis blinds, Ikea repeaters, and a few GE switches/outlets. Bonus - mesh visual:

Glad to see this - swapped our old Hue BR30s for LIFX in the kitchen because too dim. LIFX are both brighter and produce better colors, at least if you are used to the first-gen Hue (not a fair comparison). But after replacing enough Hue bulbs with LIFX, I’ve realized I’m not a fan of WiFi lighting - my wireless is

You like tech bills from The Man?

I wish there was a way to ensure Congress understands this stuff before they debate it or vote on it.
