I work at a store that has vintage theater chairs bolted together in rows randomly dispersed around the store. They are bolted to each other, but not to the floor, so if ANYONE leans over to tie a shoe or pick up something off the ground, the whole row of chairs will tip forward. I weigh a buck twenty and they do it

Maybe if you could actually have a baby, rather than just hold your wife's hand while she does the hard work, you'd get it. The world does not need more people in it, and IMO, reproducing in a world that is overpopulated and overpolluted is the most selfish thing you can do.

Yeah, she's just a woman that had an affair with a president at 24 and then was absolutely destroyed by the most powerful political machine in the world. Completely irrelevant as a feminist issue.

It bothers me how people all hail Clinton as such a nice guy and great President but still say Lewinsky's name with a sneer.

the people who seek very specific instinctual traits like herding and whose livelihood may depend on it do not make up the bulk of those buying from breeders, though. for the latter, it isn't about "need", it's about the status that comes from owning something unusual and expensive. shelters and rescues have dogs of

Eh, that's fine. As I'm sure you know, health issues are concentrated in purebred dogs, not mixed/mutts. So the fact that you think you're picking a purebred dog because of their health history is a little self-defeating.

Thank you for calling attention to this but anyone who truly loves dogs can tell you this.

I love westies- Westhighland White Terriers. I have owned four and everyone was a rescue. The fact is 25% of dogs in shelters are purebreeds. EVERY pet I've owned has been neutered.

I'm happy for you, but I'm also sure that there are plenty of shiba inu rescues out there, where it wasn't absolutely necessary to buy a dog from a breeder.

Few things in this world truly get to my husband. Buying designer dogs is one of them. He gets so angry and passionate about the number of great, amazing dogs in shelters who are put down everyday because they are "mutts". I can't wait to share this with him and fuel his fire.

Considering how many dogs are put down every day because they can't find homes, and looking at my little pup who was less than 24 hours from being put down when we adopted him, I can't help but harshly judge people who breed dogs and those who buy them. It just doesn't make sense.

well then dont make people pay 400 dollars for the privilege of standing far away. miley cyrus charges twice as much but she lets fans actually interact with her. say what you will about miley but at least she treats her fans as people rather than plebian money slugs

It's amazing that anyone would want to be photographed with Lavigne. Granted, I've never been to Brazil, but I assumed they had a 6 hour time difference. I didn't realize it was 2002 down there.

PadMapper has horrid reviews, what gives?

Re: LW#3 - I had friend of a friend with an obnoxious boyfriend (we all lived in the same building and so socialized more than we would have otherwise). One night, he (again) said something pretentious and, I may or may not have been tipsy here (totally was), I pointed at him, laughed, and said "that is the most

Huh, how strange. Amy Schumer smokes cigarettes, but I don't see you commenting on the article about her speech. Why aren't you over there reminding everyone that cigarettes are unhealthy and she can't be a role model or express self acceptance until she quits?

I don't equate any of those things with self hatred. I equate your insistence that fat people can't talk about being confident, happy, attractive, self assured, or content with self hatred. It's really, intensely sad that you can't be comfortable in your own skin unless and until you reach some arbitrary number on a

So let me just get this mentality of yours straight. I know you don't care about her health, so that motivation is straight out the window. Considering her entire speech and this entire series of conversations is about people *not hating themselves*, we can only assume you think fat people should hate themselves, and

"It's fucking complicated."

Avoid any and all comments on articles reporting this speech. You will use all you sanity points for this lifetime. I don't know why everyone feels like they are the very first person who ever noticed that Gabourey is fat and needs to go all town cryer about it.
