@LORDofDANCE: well no not really. WoW has just made the market larger. EQ's population hasn't been affected by WoW much.

@nERVEcenter: to be fair EQ1's art direction is mainly due to the limitaions of the hardware at the time.

@Bobby McPrescott: EQ1 is still going on strong. They just released another expansion recently and are probably going to keep adding them.

@Tenamor: I can see it as being bright but not cartoony like WoWs. WoW does have a very distinct art style and this is not it.

@Laronvas: wow already did that process with Burning Crusade and they did it at a much faster rate then Sony ever did.
