Makes Me Wonder Why I Even Bring The Thunder

1000%. My first and only take is he’s obviously a crook and has money stashed away in a dozen ways my poor little brain can’t fathom.

Thank you. Came here to say something similar. Why is Kylie taking this at face value & concluding the guy is broke when he’s JUST the type of wingnut to keep all his money in cash/gold bullion/crypto/offshore accounts instead of trusting the “corrupt” banking system/swamp.

Highly doubt he’s living paycheck to paycheck. I assume he’s not disclosing or he’s hiding assets. Maybe the peeps over at Pro Publica can dig into this for us.

That’s the take as I read it. I assumed the references to his being broke were tongue-in-cheek.

My reading was that the Daily Beast had that take because they have no hard evidence (yet) of him lying, but wanted to write a big profile on the fact that this makes no sense.

Suddenly, Johnson becomes besties with Harlan Crow, who shows him his pictures of Hitler, reminding Johnson that Hitler was fiercely anti-abortion (when the parents were Aryan. But not so much for the other races...)

It is all in his church. Sorry...”church.”

This. I am much more confident that Johnson is blatantly not disclosing his holdings for reasons that make sense only to him, rather than that he has no money.

Makes the fact that his first big act is to push for defunding the IRS that much more understandable.

That’s this user’s entire M.O.: make generally sensible points, and then make an overgeneralization with nothing to back it up other than his personal experiences.

I appreciate you responding.

Bibi’s “help Hamas to help Israel” strategy is well known. There’s no conspiracy or leaps in logic here. It’s been openly discussed in Israeli and Arab circles for years.

I don’t understand why nuance is so hard for people here. Hamas can be totally wrong, and Israel’s response to Hamas can be totally wrong. Don’t know why so many people think they have to pick a side and pretend it’s all rosy.

People think other people who post on TikTok are gods. So yes, I believe we are at that point.

There are not many more “American” acts than using an MLK quote out of context to make a point... a point with which he’d have either vehemently disagreed or felt was a gross misrepresentation of his actual statements.

Especially when they (mostly white politicians/political commentators) use King as a cudgel to hit black people with but ignore his lessons that apply to their own fucking life.

I think there are valuable lessons to be learned by listening to brilliant minds from the past like MLK. The problem is that a lot of people aren’t interested in actually studying their words. They’re just looking for a famous name to prop up their beliefs.

Hey white people , if you could stop shoe-horning MLK into every fucking bad political take you have that’d be great, m’kay?

I’m 5'3", and there was one Easter when I prepared Hollandaise sauce while wearing two inch heels right after church. It’d always been exhausted vigorously whisking the eggs, feeling the ache in my shoulder. But those two extra inches did something amazing: it was actually comfortable whisking the eggs on the

The reason North West was talking to anyone about anything is because she comes from a media machine clan and this was always going to be part of her life.
