Democrats hold 28 (of 105) seats in the Alabama House and 8 of 35 in the state Senate. Other than the possibility the the GQP will take the whole castration thing and run with it (because, you know, cruelty) it seems like actually “starting a dialog” could be considered the Dems managing to punch above their weight.
