Did any single white person alive today steal a native american’s land? Did any single native american alive today lose their land due to white people?

“I do see where you are going with this, “but as someone who dates a Native Canadian, it really is not as much an issue as you let on. Are you native? I would be interested to hear your personal opinion if so.”

Ah, so you ARE just trolling, then. That’s good. I mean, you obviously know that “either we change the name of the Cherokee, or we solve pollution!” is the logical fallacy known as a false dilemma, since it’s not a zero-sum game. As long as we all understand you’re just driving around in the boat, hoping to hook a

Claims he’s not racist, equates people of another race to animals. *facepalm*

As someone who has driven four Cherokees, and nothing but Jeeps for the past decade-plus: good. Why not? Seriously, what’s the harm in changing the names of these products? I’ll go debadge my XJ right now if it makes someone’s life easier, or makes them happier. The Cherokee name matters more to Cherokee people than

“I am fairly liberal, but give me a break.”

You are intentionally misunderstanding things to support your point. It was no more acceptable for Pontiac to do it than for Jeep to do it. GM got away with it because, as I already said, the brand went defunct before the current social climate where people take this sort of appropriation more seriously. So the

Your initial comment said Pontiac was offensive to Native Peopled s, so bringing up that your girlfriend doesn’t care, as one person, doesn’t seem relevant?

You’re equating Native Americans to animals. You’re part of the problem.

Because Pontiac was ditched before we started actually having useful discussions about appropriating the names of oppressed minority groups to sell products?

Unless you are Cherokee, you don’t have a right to “call bullshit” on their feelings regarding the use of their tribe’s name to sell a product. You also don’t get to decide if something is derogatory to them or not.

A transmission oil/fluid cooler would be cool to have,
as well as factory standard ‘correct’ and study lifts. Add some wheels with larger sidewalls (so the wheels become larger as well) and you have a solid combo for a wagon imho.

I work for Subaru.  It’s a trim level.

I enjoy debating. Don’t ever feel like because we disagreed about one thing, we can’t agree about something else. I still respect you, even when we’re on opposite sides of a debate!

Crimped connectors definitely take a bit of work to learn, especially considering you can’t actually see your work - the only way you know if you did it right or wrong is if it holds up. As annoying as it is to hear, step one is to get a good crimping tool, not the $5 el-cheapo one you can get at Harbour Freight. Get

I don't know if there are any absolutes. I had a wiring fault develop when my truck was still under warranty. The tech was awesome, and since I teach shop classes, he let me watch him do the repair and showed me some stuff. He told me that it was critical with a CAN-bus wiring system to use a gas powered soldering

My (mis)understanding has always been that, for joining wire to wire, a good crimp joint is at least as good electrically, and better with respect to vibration, temperature, and other environmental factors, than a good soldered joint. The automotive and aerospace industries have studied the living daylights out of

I watched my dad drip hold solder onto his hand when he was fixing a copper pipe my mom hit with a nail hanging a picture.

While I’m sure a GOOD solder joint is better than these, I really really suck at soldering. I never get any better, because I hate doing it. My clumsy fat fingers always end up getting burned. I bet these are a lot better than my crappy solder joints.  I’ve yet to try them, but I definitely should give them a shot

So you want to pay a middle man so you can feel like you got a better deal than you did?
