I like this response. Also, exciting news in energy: the first fusion reactor is close to coming online. It should be safer (crazy considering we’re making our own sun on earth) than fission reactors and produce more energy.

I’ve seen a few comments saying that even electric vehicles are still technically burning hydrocarbons, since power plants are usually natural gas or coal. I’d like to correct that, and say that some of us live in deregulated energy markets, and we choose the (more expensive) 100% renewable option. (Here in Texas, you

I say this as a dyed-in-the-wool environmentalist: at some point, we need to get people who don’t give a shit about the environment to also buy EVs. We need to get everyone (or at least most people) driving vehicles that aren’t powered by fossil fuels if we are to have a hope of preserving at least some of the Earth’s

What makes it a supertruck? I don’t see a cape.

If I understand correctly, the judged ruled that he couldn’t claim that his rights under Title VII were violated, because Title VII is written to protect people *who are pregnant* and not parents in general. Since he didn’t actually carry the child, Title VII doesn’t apply.

An Engineer (me): Yeah, yeah 335/316mph, uh huh, uh huh, ok...what about the tires, did they use specially engineered compounds...I’m assuming they just didn’t use an off the shelf street tire and crossed fingers...maybe talked to Bugatti’s supplier, etc...I NEED to know.  It tends to be the least appreciated aspect

I’m with you on most of that, but I can’t fault the hotels for not wanting people to use their lots as a park and ride for free when they fly somewhere.

I guess you cowards would rather be alive than part of something important.

I used to have an 06 STi back when they were new. I remember some guy was like man, you must get alot of chicks with that car eh? My response,”The only thing this car attracts is teenage boys and cops.”

My problem with Bollinger isn’t the looks... it’s the price (starting at $125,000).

I want to like this more than I actually like it, but at $125,000 it really won’t matter what I think of it.

Also, service isn’t a strength of Tesla’s, but they have a service center in every major city and a lot of more minor ones (Corpus Christi, Tulsa, Spokane). I hope Lucid can do it, but they have a lot to ramp up quickly.

“When’s the last time anyone walked into a dealership and got ‘internet pricing’?”

The Germans love to more than double the starting price at the top of their performance lines. Especially on cars that need to have a somewhat reasonable entry price to start with, like the BMW 3 and 5 series, MB C and E, etc.

Have you seen Camaro or Mustang pricing?

Nah, you can get any HD truck from the low $30s to basically $100K.

The headlight tape was my favorite bit, too. I didn’t mention directly it in the hopes that those who know would just appreciate it. Like you did.

I caught that but how many “blocks” does it have?
