Thanks for doing the research. I suffered through all the other comments in hopes that someone like you would satisfy my curiosity about this!

Ah-ha, so he did modify the pic. Good to know that he draws the line somewhere in his dedication to his employer.
I like how at 1:40 the driver throws the fire extinguisher up in the air and leaves it where it falls in the middle of the street as he walks away.
A minivan would have been the best choice, in retrospect.
I just rented a vehicle from Hertz this past weekend . . . and I selected an SUV. Typically I am happy with a little sedan when I rent, though, contrary to trend.
I also assume that it happens everywhere.
Street racing has been a problem, but not by the NASCAR Hall of Fame where the crosswalks are. Happens on the loop interstate (I-485) and on bigger roads as you get outside of the city (Tryon, north and south).
Tail of the Dragon, so, yeah, great weekend.
I’ll do my part - trading in my Prius for a GTI shortly. I’ll miss the space and fuel economy, but that’s about it.
After everything I’ve heard, I thought the joke was going to be that the buyer’s guide was . . . don’t.
It is already available . . . http://www.hovding.com/ (for bicyclists).
No doubt, hard to argue with a nice E30 M3.
So you are seeing no deals yet on GTIs with the PP? It seems like there are a number on lots in or near the Charlotte area, which would seem to create some competition, and I assume this is true elsewhere. None local have my exact preference of options, though, so I’m using that as a way to convince myself not to do…
How does the door count affect roof rack options? I’m likely to get a 2016 eventually and figured on a roof rack for bikes and/or cargo pod on big trips, but haven’t researched them at all. I would get 4 door anyway for convenience.
I keep coming back to the GTI as what I would get for my next car. I can even get past VW having cheated, and the possible GTI maintenance issues, but I have heard too many bad stories about unpleasant service and warranty experiences that I keep searching for a better car for me. If I am not convinced by anything…
Need to keep track of where the Charlotte C&C may move to now that the parking lot at the NC Music Factory is going to be developed. Not sure how many more meetings will take place there. Hopefully at least one more good weather one.
Actually, Justin, the Charlotte C&C is scheduled for the first Saturday of every month (and this one was delayed due to another event being scheduled at the site last Saturday). I think you may have mixed it up with Greensboro, which is third Saturday.
