VIOLA DAVIS YAAAAAAAS!
VIOLA DAVIS YAAAAAAAS!
The black dress code is the symbolism for a wider movement. Time’s Up has already raised over $15 million for men and women in all industries seeking legal representation in sexual harassment cases. Things are changing. Being reductive about the black dress code is not unlike how the right try to frame kneeling during…
Actually the black idea is growing on me. If any hypocrites decide to wear black, I hope they get called out and it exposes more assholes.
They should stay home, you say? So miss this valuable opportunity to be recognized as well as network in their professional capacities? Ok. Well then. Who’s next? The people who have been harassed at work, don’t go to work. The people who have been harassed when they go out at night, you stay home too. Stay home and…
You ignored my point though. Why should the victims skip an event where they’re recognized for their work? And to your point, why do you think any of the known abusers are invited?
Well, to be fair, should the women / victims be the ones who skip being recognized for their work? I get that they make gobs of money but if any of the female actors were harassed on the job, I just don’t see how demanding that they not show up to the awards enacts any kind of justice.
You would prefer sackcloth and fucking ashes maybe? And don’t waste time telling me why you think professional actors should stay away from one of the most visible evenings in their chosen profession.
Yes, depression is a disability that is protected against wrongful termination. I used to work on legal cases dealing with wrongful termination. I’d see it all the time with employees who had depression. They take some absences (to deal with their depression), employer asks whats up, they say they suffer from…
I don’t like the idea of betraying confidences because it may cause inside sources to stop talking to the press. That said, if you work for Trump I don’t have a lot of time to fight on your behalf.
He’s said he wasn’t up for running in 2016 because the family was recovering from the May 2015 death (cancer) of his son Beau, who was a prominent politician and former state AG in Delaware. I think that’s also what he’s referencing when he talks about whether the family is ready. I’d imagine it would have been hard…
Explain your disdain. I am not understanding. I am not a fan of his nor a detractor, just not getting the invective being hurled around about him? Because he criticized Hillary or because he took on anti-Obamma bigots with pitbull zeal? This sort of hatred is something you save for child fucking senators from…
Sorry what in the world could be possibly wrong with someone with experience on the Democratic side of the aisle throwing themselves in the ring as a contender whether they would be your first choice or not? Also by the way, please show me the exemplary art of positioning yourself for a presidential run and not…
I’ll take Biden for one term than 45 for two.
Uhhh it sounds to me like Catherine realized what a nightmare her family was and peaced the fuck out a long time ago. #TeamCatherine.
To the post-grad living at home: Maybe I misunderstood, but it seems like your parents are playing you and Morgan off each other (you reading texts on Mom’s phone - I assume with her permission?). Or, at the least, your parents should be firmly and resolutely stopping your sister from hurling about all of these false…
That Dave Chappelle show was actually much much more considered and nuanced than the stupid ass hot takes, ugh.
I have no particular investment in the Paris/Chris Zylka union, but can I just say that I just started binging The Leftovers a week ago and have already almost finished season 2 (just the finale ep left) and can I say I am OBSESSED with it! It is so good! Justin theroux is the most beautiful man in the world with…
Not to mention that depending on the size of the company, it is very likely that HR already KNOWS LW doesn’t fit in the corporate culture.
I agree. It’s part of the problem of valuing culture over skills in the work place. If someone doesn’t fit the culture, HR will eventually get rid of them. Especially if they have ongoing personal problems that will affect them in the workplace.
