While it had its share of flaws, the first dead island was pretty good - need some polish and debugging but they had some good ideas and it showed promise. Then well - the second one came out and they seemed to leave all the broken stuff from the first game and broke the things that were good about the first game.

I have never been a fan of the Sony xmb navigation systems. Even my blu ray players has a form of it and I hate it. I was really hoping they would take the new hardware as a time to evolve here instead of tweak.

Aren't all games that aren't all FPS, Action and Adventure games in the 10-15 hour range. I don't think I'd want them longer really. I prefer a short but well done and engaging story than a long one with filler, backtracking, crappy save points that make you replay a lot, and grind to jjust extend play time.
