I’ve been in multiple collector communities, ranging from gaming to figures to statues to original art. The dudes who stack up (and usually post photos of) multiples of the same “grails” are some of the weirdest, thirstiest, emotionally neediest people on the plant.

To be a conservative nowadays is to be afraid of everything. Where there are no enemies, they invent them.

It is weird that nobody talks about how the godawful Hobbit movie trilogy killed a lot of interest in this. I just keep seeing reference to the LOTR trilogy as though nothing else hsppened in between.

They aren’t making decisions about art because the goal of television production isn’t to make great art.

I’m the oddball collector. I don’t keep up with what’s new or coming out. I don’t care what the “market value” of anything is. I simply go to the diecast toy section, look for cars I like, buy them, and go home to stick them on my wall.

I don’t even buy those these things and I hate that guy. 

I have been to large packed concerts, small packed concerts, and all sorts of sporting events. I can’t recall going to a metal show or baseball game and saying ‘these people stink’.
