I don’t know - if I’m Bethesda I’d be concerned that Skyrim a 10year old+ game has more players than my two month old latest release. And that Fallout 4 has the same amount of players which is what almost 10 years old? Those are not great metrics.

I found the game kind of meh. It had some interesting aspects that were mostly counterbalanced by boring and/or tedious elements. I get the “mixed” status on steam because that is right where I’d put it. I gave up about 25 hours in cause it just wasn’t holding my attention.

$15 for an emote??? HHAHAHAHA - um no. I am constantly surprised by the price tag games put on these things. I shouldn’t be at this point but things like this - everything in Overwatch 2 or Diablo 4. Its out of hand.

Its not just video games - but why is it these CEO clearly screw up and make a mess of things yet remain employed? This sounds like string of bad management decisions. C-suite should pay the price. And not with a golden parachute - they should get the same severance any other employee gets. It amazes me with the focus

Well if they aren’t doing ads I would imagine they’d like to eat and pay rent so they need some way to make money. A subscription paywall if fine to me if there are no ads. Even at $7 a month per reader I suspect they aren’t really making much. Even if they reach 50,000 subs that is only $350,000 in revenue - then

Well automatic if the publisher pays for the advertising. Those others games apparently didn’t. The article probably wasn’t paid for but when ad buying you can target your ads to content so they likely targeted to it to stories about their game.

See that makes it worse to me. In 30 years they have never hired a woman to write for them??

I’d love to see the addition of a DMZ variant that is just PvE. My son got me to try it over the summer after I had checked out of CoD several releases back. It was a lot of fun - until we newbies to the mode ran into other players who knew the maps, systems and were there to just gank players not worry about the vE

Really - I didn’t feel like they had any “life” to them beyond any other MP games characters. They tend to have a pretty cool art style. But really they are skillset defined by their appearance. want a different appearance - you get a different skill set in game.

Yay??

I think one thing that happens is games are designed using PCs - which have “big” displays that are 30" or so and you sit 2 or 3 feet away from. A game then played on a console - you have screens 40" and up and you sit 6-10 feet away from them or more. This leads to text that doesnt scale right and probably wasn’t

I’m conflicted because I love Le Sserafim - and really enjoyed OW1 - but OW2 is so inferior in every single way. They totally sucked the life out of it. So I have a collab that could be awesome except I hate the game. The prices are cracked as well so I likely would buy them anyways but it shows what a miss everything

I’m not sure on this game but others where there are issue is because of Sony and money - not the game. Sony doesn’t want stuff bought in say the PC version on their system because they didn’t get a slice of the pie. I run into this in Genshin Impact which I play on Steamdeck and PS5. If it buy the season pass on the

I haven’t noticed a trigger difference but I do love the xbox’s offset sticks. Also the PS5 controller I find the menu button too close the big touch pad - I often hit both at the same time.

I have a PS5 and a Series X - and they both have their roles - largely because of the controller Xbox is my main platform - I just like it sooo much better. Offset thumbsticks rule. So Xbox exclusives and anything cross platform is on the Xbox. Ps5 is Sony titles and jrpgs which mostly tend to be PS exclusives.

A similar situation that they happened to have video of

Thats because they seem to have some sort of quota to publish at least 6 Spiderman articles a day. I wish they cover gaming a little more broadly.

try being an “old” that is into kpop. I love Le Sserafim. I hate OW2 (like OW1 a lot) - I’m so conflicted over this colab

Aren’t most discs just installers anyway - or only a fraction of the core assets needed to run. Most every install triggers a download at this point. Evenif you have your physical media you can’t really play the game.

I think a lot of that was due to covid and supply shortages. I know there were games that originally weren’t going to hit ps4 but because no one had a ps5 and devs still wanted to sell their games they scaled em back to work on the ps4 as well. I think it’s really only this year that things have finally moved away
