With this headline we have reached peak jezebel , we need to go no further.

Mom isn’t official job title so already this turns me off. I never mention the fact I’m a mom at work anymore than I would daughter, sister, wife, cousin, etc. All of those roles also obligate me to personal duties, most of all with my suicidal sister, so motherhood is no different. (My kid will eventually grow up; my

tl;dr: unless your workplace has good family leave policies, you usually aren’t coming back to the same place. Most US workplaces don’t.

The other thing I wonder, since you say you wrote it for your MFA, is did you write what you wanted to write? Or did you write what you thought a program like that expected of you? Try a genre or something!

I work for a publishing company (doing marketing and PR), and one of the things that my authors always say is the first (even the first few) draft is always terrible. Don tell expect it to be good, it just needs to be done. And writing is a skill like anything else, it’s all about practising and refining. My advice?

That sucks and it is honestly one of those things that creatives always have to balance, in my experience. People are VERY reluctant to tell you what it’s actually like once you’ve left art school or finished your English degree. If I were you I’d probably keep the job for now if you get maternity leave, and focus on

It’s a long slog. My husband is a writer also. He has been a technical/marketing/financial writer for about 20 years now — that’s the day job that allows us to live, travel, and so on — while also working on his passion projects for all this time.

It was a good show

THANK YOU. I still have bald spots and I’m probably infertile from my teenage anorexia. It’s not fucking cute. You age prematurely, your skin falls apart, your hair goes to shit...and sometimes it’s never the same again even if you recover.

I guarantee that myproana/ED blogs are already excited for this.

I also always wonder who these anorexia movies are for, as they often push the “beautiful tortured thing girl” stereotype and let me tell you, anorexia sufferers feed off this. These kinds of movies are never cautionary tales, they’re actually very triggering and encouraging.

This post only serves to remind me that Bill Paxton from Big Love passed way.

I agree. This is making me uncomfortable. I am beginning to suspect that OP is playing out a long-game troll scenario, and I do not dig it.

Sorry to be that person but . . . this post is really raising a red flag for me. I think this person might be trolling or otherwise trying to pull people into some sort of weird fantasy OP has constructed. It’s just a gut feeling I’m having here, but proceed with caution.

So Saddam had two ears and a heart?

I had something similar happen. I had some genetic testing at around 18 weeks and came back as a carrier for a particularly nasty variant of cystic fibrosis. By the time I found out, I was almost 20 weeks. At that point, we had about 3 weeks to get my husband tested, get the results, if he was a carrier, get
