There’s no way Fresh Choice isn’t the name of the section with the sad prepackaged wraps inside a gas station.
How was the service when you were hit by a car? Were you seated quickly?
I can’t even get a fucking beer at Cracker Barrel, and their old-timey gift store is shitty and overpriced. So straight to the bottom it goes.
You would have had to create a separate entry for the IHOP that was in Center City Philadelphia.
i tried to make this argument and was shouted down by a chorus of “BUT THE BISCUITS”
The breadsticks alone put them at least in the middle of the pack.
What is a Fresh Choice? Sounds like it serves bean sprouts with several items.
How can Cracker Barrel rate so high when they probably would have refused to serve you, Greg?
A couple days back, Complex published an interview with Allen Iverson, which you should most definitely read, if you…
“Did we expect her to give up this role in the name of facial features?”
The real problem with casting Zoe Saldana is that she has benefitted from white supremacy in the industry; Nina was victimized by it. Though they are both black women, they represent almost entirely different existences, and it is this contradiction many black women have the most trouble with.
The problem is that they wanted somebody more conventionally “attractive” for one, and a huge star. There is discrmination within the black community, and sometimes light skin actors have more success than darker skinned actors. Why not cast somebody that looks more the part? Using prosthetic noses and paint is just…
Nahh, it’s blackface. They chose a much lighter skinned actress with “acceptable” features to play a dark skinned woman with broader features and put her in hours upon hours of dark and heavy makeup and prosthetics. And now when she does press for it and interviews and photoshoots, she will be the acceptable shade…
I don’t blame her for taking the role, but the makeup thing is INSANE. I would rather have her play the role with her own lighter complexion that that horrific makeup I saw in another post. It’s terribly done and obvious in addition to being racist.
Did the production team try to book Jennifer Lawrence first and settled on Saldana? I’m truly trying to figure this casting choice out.
Okay, let’s put aside the whole dark black skin vs. light black skin for a moment. Anyone else think that if you are casting someone to play in a biopic and the only way the actor you chose to play that character is through head to toe body paint, a wig and several prosthetics, you are not doing a hot job as a casting…
As Rosanne Zaldanadanna might say... never mind.
The ghost of her highness Nina Simone is not even with Zoe Saldana right now.
