I’ve long been a critic of a lot of Monster Hunters design decisions. I’ve often felt it was cumbersome and punishing in the wrong ways.
As someone who has played since MH4U as a “just good enough to squeak by” player (and same with all of dark souls for that matter), I still agree with this comment. Can’t understand the lack of empathy that would lead others to lambaste people who request these optional features.
One of the best quality of life changes in this game is that they took 90% of the information that you used to have to look up in a wiki and put it into the game proper. Stuff like monster strengths and weaknesses, hitzones, weapon upgrade paths, gather points on maps, and what monsters drop what materials. There’s…
No talent trees or spreadsheets. The learning curve is with how to use the weapon you choose and learning monster behaviors. The only stats you gotta keep up with are weapon and armor stats as well as monster elements and elemental weaknesses. There are going to be tons of guides for how to bring down each monster but…
Slow your thinking down. Get past that FASTHACKSLASH mindset from other genres. You are a mere human trying to fell a massive beast. You need patience and skill and precision.
Monique why you in my feels today? I had a partner up and move out (Lawrence-style) of our apartment together without a word, leaving behind anything related to our relationship. We never spoke again, except for a kind of whiny email he sent, and he remained peripherally in my life. I just wanted a chance to cry,…

Lots of folks have mentioned tiny metal, but it’s really unpolished, and the developer has some controversy regarding its funding.
The games never had amazing sales. Advance Wars 1 is still the highest at 0.7 million sold and my favorite, Dual Strike sold a measly 0.4 million (!!!).
Something important to note in all of this:
The, “I never asked to be a role model/hero/what have you” argument certainly feels like it should be salient, and it’s true, up to a point—sports figures of all stripes, traditional, e-sport, or otherwise, only ever asked for an opportunity to do what they do at a very high…
In that moment, all things were possible. You figured that the light saber would fly to Rey, she would fight it out with Ren, then escape and the plot goes on. Just like Return of the Jedi, but earlier.
well cheating has less to do with the other person and lack of respect for that person and more about the person cheating. generally the desire to feel wanted. not defending his behavior, just saying the reasons for it are more nuanced than just “he doesn’t respect his wife”
Taking a break to focus on his own issues and his family is definitely the right thing to do. That said, I hate when people make mistakes and then say “it’s not who I am.” Dude, it may not be who you want to be, but it absolutely is who you are or you wouldn’t have done it. That said, he definitely seems genuinely…
Because he’s speedrunning. Getting to the end of the article with as few words read as possible is the most popular speedrunning category on the internet.
But first let’s talk about parallel universes
Well, one, I don’t think you remember ps1/2 era graphics as well as you think you do to make a statement like that.
Patrick has been fired for not referencing the extensive real-world history of ballistas being used to kill flame-breathing magical lizards the size of 747s.
“We need you for one last mission XxSlutKilla98xX”
“I told you, I don’t do that anymore. I played during the old days, before Care Packages were introduced to CoD.”
I’m not getting the hate for this; it sounds like it’s taking most, if not all of the things people love/loved to crow on and on about what makes the MH series so amazing in theory—strategic combat, learning how monsters “interact with the environment”, using traps and smarts/skills to take down threats, “hunting”…
