“Also why do you own that book?” “You see a red book, you buy a red book.” “What do you do with blue books?” “Don’t buy!” “Yellow books?” “Wait on it”. “That’s true”. I’m going to miss a lot of things about this show but I think I’ll miss the nonsensical exchanges with Nick trying to explain his insane thought

I saw this movie on a whim this evening and was pleasantly surprised by just how much I enjoyed it. A couple of the broader comic moments went a bit too far but there was generally a good mix between the broad “what kind of ridiculous situation can we put John Cena in”-type moments and the more low-key clever banter

Not everyone who watches the show has necessarily read the books though, so he’s probably trying to be respectful of that and write his reviews without relying too much on information from future books, even though the show will almost certainly stick to the book in terms of where that particular plotline is going.

That break-up was stupid but at least Sara immediately seemed to change her mind if her reaction after finding the “reserved for the girlfriend of Sara Lance” note is anything to go off of (I could’ve been misreading that scene but it looked like she was going off to try to make things right to me).

I’m definitely shipping Constantine and Gary after this. The look on Gary’s face after Constantine kissed him was the most adorable thing I’ve seen in a while and Constantine gamely joining in on his D&D session at the end was a nice mood lightener after that intense episode.

The first thing I did after the episode ended was watch The Creep again to see how close the costumes were. The hair, glasses, and moustache were basically the same making this joke even more delightful.

I didn’t know anything about this show beyond the fact that it existed but I was mildly surprised to hear that Bob Newhart, John Larroquette, and Jane Curtin were involved. Now I kind of want to watch an episode just to see if it was good but I probably won’t get around to it. Is any of that an opinion? No? Ok, then

I had thought that “To Build A Home” had become overplayed as a maudlin TV soundtrack choice and that I had lost my ability to cry at scenes scored to it. I was wrong about the second half of that last sequence. Damn it, This Is Us. That final montage hurt.

The moment Jason brought up molotov cocktails as a possible solution for getting through the Bad Place, it became obvious that Jason would be throwing a molotov cocktail by the end of the episode, but man did they work hard to earn that joke.

Oh, the fire drill was hilarious. I just realized the example might not be as applicable to my main point. It was an episode that certainly felt event-y with the fire drill setpiece and Jack Black making out with Cloris Leachman for some reason, but it wasn’t really an event.

They’re definitely going to show how Jack died in the post-Super Bowl episode, right? It feels like exactly the kind of huge event that post-Super Bowl episodes are made for, like when Alias blew up their premise or The Office had the world’s worst fire drill or when Glee did a Thriller/Heads Will Roll mash-up. OK,

I really hope that Nat becomes a recurring character. Jillian Bell is always a delight and “adult version of Louise” is such a good character concept that I’m shocked that it the show hadn’t already done it.

Judas may have the bigger role, but Jesus still has enough to do throughout that I don’t think John Legend will be wasted in the part. He also gets to tackle Gethsemane, which is one of the best songs in the entire production and one that I can’t imagine a better voice suited for than Legend.

“Anytime someone steps up and says who they are, the world becomes a better and more interesting place so.. thank you.” Holt’s game night pep talk (and that hug) is also my tear trigger. We do not deserve someone as gifted at both comedy AND drama as Andre Braugher on our TV screens. We just don’t.

I thought the initial order for Ghosted was ten episodes? I’m pretty sure there’s still a couple “Ghosted 1.0" episodes before we switch over to Lieberstein. Also this episode was actually the original second episode of the show but it got pushed back a lot. It feels like a refinement of the ideas in the pilot because

I can agree that rehashing the events of the Pilot hurt the momentum a bit (though with episode 3 available right away, I didn’t mind) but comparing it to The Lost Sister is a little too harsh. I’m actually excited that this show is just as focused on the parents as it is on the kids. In the comics, things moved so

After not really caring about Chrissy at all last week, I was shocked by how much I liked her this time out to the point where I’m no actively rooting for her. Her super-analytical style of gameplay is really interesting to watch and I’m excited to see how this alliance with Ben plays out. I liked how many little

I continue to be shocked by how much I enjoy Nicole Richie on this show. The China launches missile/Blac Chyna launches lip gloss confusion was a good joke, but Portia screaming “That’s even worse!” and running from the room in response made it great.

Why did they go all in on David S. Pumpkins?

“Look, the woods are dark and scary, but the only way out is through. I’m sorry. I got distracted by the woods. Um, what were we talking about?” Probably my favourite little thing that happened this season was the friendship that’s developed between Princess Carolyn and Todd. They’ve interacted before but never really
