I never used the predefined paths in Crysis 2. I just ran around and found paths myself. It turns out there were a lot of alternate paths that you weren't actually told about. I agree it's sorta lame they put in predefined "paths" but it seemed to me they reward you for exploration.

Yup! Ben R noted though, that this video was shot with a motion control rig used for panning and such. So in a way, you are somewhat correct. You could still make a decent time lapse without the rig (I've seen some really nice amateur videos to prove it) but it's still not quite at the scale of this video.

I hadn't seen the behind the scenes for this video so thanks for posting. Doing it yourself probably won't turn out as good as this video, due to the reasons you posted.
