It does looks rather lame.

All I could think the entire time is "Man, all the hipsters at my school are going to be so excited when they see this!"
Yeah, that ad was almost exactly like an Apple ad.
Agreed. Mass Effect is my favorite video game franchise (I'm a huge Sci-fi nerd). I didn't care for the ending either. This is just too much though.
I saw this a long time ago. I remember I laughed until I cried. I normally don't laugh much, but that struck a cord with me. The tail deflating at the end tops it off.
Yeah, I was thinking about that too. I can't even imagine. Then again, after the incident he was forced to have a new face. Sure, it's not the same as having someone else's face but it may make it a bit easier to adjust.
Ouch, $9,000 a month? That's pretty steep! I'm happy to hear insurance is helping you out.
Some one managed to clear that up for me earlier in the thread. Thank you for taking the time to respond though!
I like this thread too. It's nice when the community can come together to help others learn.
Indeed! It could put him in an even worse situation if the surgery doesn't take. How horrible would that be? After going through a traumatic event and all the pains of surgery, you finally get to look "normal" again. Only, a month or so later (just guessing here, I'm not very familiar with this stuff) you have…
Okay, I'm officially hyped.

Yeah, I noticed I got "eluded" and "alluded" mixed up right as the editing time ran out.
Ah, so the ability to read properly has alluded me again!
I was expecting the $300k-$400k, but I wasn't expecting the $15k-$20k a year! That's crazy!
That's true. I'm always curious how these things work out though. Are we getting excited prematurely or does everything work out okay? I'm sure with enough digging around I could find some follow up stories, but a lot of the time the person falls off the radar.
I hadn't considered that. I suppose that would make sense though. Imagine how great it looks on your resume saying you worked on this operation. Thanks!
Thank you! If you don't mind me asking, what is your source? I read through the article and I didn't see any mention of it (though it is possible I missed it).
I really hope we get a follow up to this in a few months. It seems with a lot of this stuff we hear the initial results, but rarely hear the long term. I hope him the best. What they have done is really amazing.
Wait you already have some anonymous accounts? Couldn't you simply just reuse one of them?
