I think my point - if badly expressed - is not about the media reporting it, but how they reported it. If you read a newspaper, they will go;

Do you know why? Because it's easier. It's a single individual with a name. To be fair, Phil Fish got as much shit as Zoe. So claiming it's all about gender is not rock solid too.
To be fair, over-generalization is a pitfall pretty easy to get trapped into. "All Democrats" or "All Republicans" is something that should not be used. "X individual did something bad." Of course, how the representative of said group react to this is what makes of break it for the whole group. Since GG lack any kind…
Yes, I worked on Brotherhood, Revelation and 3. But it's alright, everybody got a different perspective on things. So someone in the same studio as me would most likely have a different point of view on all those events.
Because with 750 people working on that game - and me busy making it - I obviously had my word to say on how the marketing would do their job. :p
No, no... A kitten is cute.
I did, and did not agree with it. To me, it was overly aggressive, and was made for the "wow factor". Hell, even someone on Kotaku made a post about "Oh, wait, when he says gamers, he doesn't mean gamers... he means bad people, who claim to be gamer, you know..." Was a rather confusing moment.
Well, what would you do except asking for more ethic?
I think I've read someone claiming it was all fake. *shrug*
and love guns!
And we all know that the way it started dictate how it will always be.
To be frank, I'm not associated with GG, I only posted a few tweets using the tag. I'm just feel they have some valid points, and that those are ignored by the media.
First, this specific article is probably the "less bad" I've read from Kotaku or Gawker. There's some horrible one on Gawker that doesn't let any door open for the existence of a reasonable faction.
What makes you say I never been on the receiving end? My high school have been hell because of bullying.
Once again, sorry if it was misunderstood, I never claimed it doesn't happen.
Sadly, it is very deep-seated, and usually not from game devs. I've learned that marketing people are - often but not always - some of the most conservative people.
To be frank, it's not always because of your sex. That little assholes creating a mini-rebellion? I had one like that too. I have been lucky that he somewhat managed to hang himself alone and quickly.
Don't worry about being confrontational, as long as you stay logic and cool headed. I'm a guy who love arguing. I can even claim it's one of my personal issue I've been working on.
I'm concerned about three things, in no specific order;
Good people leaving will hurt, because having been paint as being guilty by association, discussion becomes harder. Also, at some point, bad people will follow the good one to whatever else new label/forum they would create, and the issue would begin all over.
