I fucking love this show, and thank god Lestat is back, even for a little bit.

When one bought the company that makes Yugos, one can’t go around driving a Mustang.
Oh, here’s one: what if they made a Dunk and Egg anime? Perhaps an OVA?
I don’t know why, but I did not realize that social media would be doing Dunk and Egg wordplay nonstop whenever this series is mentioned anywhere lol
egg time
If Dunkin’ doesn't do a cross-promotion with this show, it'll be a huge missed opportunity.
He looks perfect. Literally exactly like the book character’s description and the illustrations of him in various volumes. General audiences aren’t ready for how good this is going to be. It’s really very different from GoT and HotD, in a good way.
I used to feel that way. First started with Bloodborne, and bounced off it HARD. Didn’t even bother with Dark Souls, or Demon’s Souls.
I feel like this was true of the Dark Souls games, but Elden Ring is a lot better about not forcing those of us who don’t have perfect reflexes to grind.
Can you imagine being the sound guy for these shows?
The rat catchers dog, was also in an earlier scene in the episode.
Thanks for the shout out for the Art Department! It was a lot of work :)

Yes. It was Viserys’ Valyria LEGO set.
The book had Daemon going straight for it and ordering the death of a toddler and an infant.
Rat catchers use dogs to, you know, catch rats.
They’re pretending to be rat catchers, and the dog is part of that.
I actually do think that particular child murder on screen would have been too much for many viewers, and cutting away was the right choice.
It’s an interesting choice to have the premiere be mostly character work and intrigue without much action until the end. It works, because the characters and casting for the show are just so good - that’s been true since the beginning of the first season.
Rat catcher decoy.
I don’t think it’s that weird. He's the one who did the killing, he's the natural target.
