she’s legitimately more of a cat than she is a girl, both in personality and design.

Can you imagine being the sound guy for these shows?

The rat catchers dog, was also in an earlier scene in the episode.

Thanks for the shout out for the Art Department! It was a lot of work :)

Yes. It was Viserys’ Valyria LEGO set.

The book had Daemon going straight for it and ordering the death of a toddler and an infant.

Rat catchers use dogs to, you know, catch rats.

They’re pretending to be rat catchers, and the dog is part of that.

I actually do think that particular child murder on screen would have been too much for many viewers, and cutting away was the right choice.

It’s an interesting choice to have the premiere be mostly character work and intrigue without much action until the end. It works, because the characters and casting for the show are just so good - that’s been true since the beginning of the first season.

Rat catcher decoy.

The really wonderfully weird thing about the show is how much time and effort go into the “cooking monsters” bits. The review really doesn’t cover it that much, but the show is pretty much 2/3 DnD tropes, while 1/3 is something that you would imagine being on a fantasy version of the Cooking Network, with discussions

I don’t think it’s that weird. He's the one who did the killing, he's the natural target.

Its really really good, so glad its getting a second season

Whatever you’re thinking when you imagine “catgirl”, Izutsumi is treated better here, in design and character, than she would have been elsewhere.

Agreed. Especially because we saw Torbin accept the poison in Episode 2. He felt guilt for what happened on Brendok, so the Jedi certainly had more to do with the deaths of the witches than Mae’s fire.

perverted teachings and selfish religion.”

The lack of media literacy in the reviews and reactions to this weeks episode is staggering.

How was their religion paganistic and selfish? I haven’t heard the Jedi mention anything about God or Christ so does that make them pagans too? Maybe it’s because the coven was made up entirely of women. That always sets certain types of for some reason.

I just did exactly this over the weekend.  Even better than I remembered.  So good.  And perfect to catch up with what happened at the end of last season.
