None of those things are as democratic as they look. Algorithms decide who becomes popular and who doesn’t get a single view, and those algorithms are written by the mother companies to ensure maximum profit for themselves.

It wasn’t that hard in the past. I recall an anecdote of some major business tycoon in the 1930's who decided to sell all his stocks when he got a hot investment tip from his shoe polisher. His logic was that if every menial worker is playing an investor, the market must be on the edge of collapse. And it was.
Really? I thought that one of the things that the game did excellent job at was translating the concept art into the game itself. I can tell with a single glance where most of those areas are set to.
Quite a lot of these extremists admire the way that Putin runs Russia like Mafia, and think that Trump should do the same for America.
Considering his age, they’re probably dentures.
I definitely liked it. In fact, I already liked it when I was 18, back in 2003. But I’m also unquestionably a nerd.
They were definitely already working on a more ambitious cop AI, just like they had already implemented parts of the public transport system. All which they had to scrap to shove the game out unfinished. The AI issue is one of the most criticized things in the game apart from outright glitches, so there’s a strong…
Obviously the free DLC will simply mean stuff like what The Witcher 3 got, a few extra gigs, some new equipment, but nothing major, and the same will almost certainly be the case with Cyberpunk. That’ll be left for the bigger expansions, the first of which we can expect at the very earliest in next Christmas, probably…
Certainly, I was just pointing out that the bottom line argument was null in this case leaving them the opportunity to make whatever decision they wanted.
Amazon decided that Parler’s instances did not hurt their bottom line and, honestly, it really doesn’t. Parler’s use of AWS is most likely a drop in the bucket for Amazon.
If they “violated” a hosting agreement, every social media company has.
I got the game less than a week ago, since putting together my new gaming PC took a bit longer than expected — nothing too special in terms of performance, I haven’t even found a 3070 to finish it up yet, so I’m still using my trusty old 2070.

It takes awhile for a new channel to establish itself. Most people who follow Kotaku don’t know that the Reel lives on independently. On the plus side, the viewers seem to be extremely loyal and the new channel does pretty well on Patreon.
What happens if the person who has it gets killed in an accident? Then Mandalore can never have a leader, because a rock fell on them, or an oxygen processor failed, or someone ran a space traffic light? That’s it? It’s just a thousand years of Mandalore anarchy because some random thing went wrong?
Maybe that ended up resulting in an internally fractured Mandalore that became easy pickings for the Empire? It would make sense that if accepting the Darksaber peacefully before resulted in more problems down the line, that Bo-Katan wouldn’t want a repeat performance.
It’s still around, just freelance: https://www.youtube.com/c/HighlightReel/
Perfectly put. I think that some of Pratchett’s stories are more cinematic than others, though; I think that Mort and Wee Free Men would be the easiest to adapt, since they already follow a story formula more palatable to Hollywood than most of his works, and don’t rely nearly as much on witty narration, either.
Eh, he felt more like a parody of Vetinari to me. Of course that was partially because he was in A Colour of Magic, where Vetinari’s character wasn’t fully developed, but he still used more recent Vetinari mannerisms exaggerated and bent to fit the less subtle character of that book’s Patrician.
Right when the game was first announced in 2012, CDPR said that they planned it to have both first and third person modes, but by the time they had any actual material to show, they had firmly switched to first person only. The hypothetical third person mode only existed when the game was in a concept stage.
