Supra-centric snark aside for a minute, I feel so conflicted about the design.  I love the rear fender haunches, I like the little ducktail on the trunk, and I like the proportions from the side.  But, overall the design feels... disjointed?  It looks like a bunch of good designs were combined into one car because…

Yeah, the concept images haven’t grown on me over the long hype period, and the production car doesn’t look any better to me. I saw a couple of fan “wish-list” renders of what they were hoping for as far as looks—I can’t find my favorite of them, but this would still be more my preference, even if it looks too similar…

That RX-7 is also better looking than the MkIV. To be fair, I’m sure it wasn’t easy to adapt that styling to the hard points of a shared platform. Still doesn’t look all that good.

I’m a lifelong BMW owner, underrated yes, but compared to Corvettes, Camaros and Mustangs? It’s not on that level.

Found the concept quite spectacular. Was disappointed when the first images of the camouflaged mules were posted. Seeing the production version makes me nauseous.
