the gay guys weren’t mobster scumbags, they were real people who had real work they had to do. they didn’t live in a dog eat dog world and have to worry about who is stealing what from you. and because of that they were able to have positive relationships with people. A point of that Vito story line could be to

Vito and Johnny Cakes’ relationship was built on a total lie. Not real healthy.

his fondness for animals was his way of expressing his sad desperate need for acceptance from his mother. it had nothing to do with the actual animals.

“yet darkly comedic”? No, when Christopher kills Adriana’s dog it is not comedic in any way. Christopher is an asshole, a coward, and a bully. Hence why he kills Adriana’s dog then blames her for it. His cowardice is set up in season 1 when he has to choose what he really wants to do, screenwriting, and being Tony

imagine a pop culture site in 2020 so desperate for content they write an article about what a director wanted to do in the movie he made in 2002 but didn’t, then attaching a comment section to the article so people could discuss it.

nope. you got nothing. two separate points. but you need to combine them to make your point. got it.

i guess i did. so then why add people kissing and sexual situations into a cartoon that was fine the way it was?

Im aware of that thanks.

Who said being gay was a special situation? The article didn’t. I didn’t. Did you miss the two separate paragraphs? Apparently.

That makes no sense and you misread the article and my post. Fuck YOU.

Gunn wanted to add sexual situations to a children’s cartoon that had none to begin with and was upset that they were cut? Fuck him.

i think the other characters felt the same way somewhat and had some sympathy for Garner’s characters but had been there longer and were accustomed to it, plus yeah throw in some lack of humanity on their part. also, Garner’s character is the protagonist and her portrayal as such wouldn’t have the impact it was

yeah i didn’t get that her coworkers were presented as bad just becasue they told her what to do (for instance made her, the low man on the totem pole, get lunch) and went about their days doing their work instead of stopping everything to set straight the boss.

are you saying The Assistant is getting better reviews than it deserves only because Julia Garner is in it, or that The Assistant is good because Julie Garner is in it? For me The Assistant falls in to the ‘dull movie in which nothing happens” category.

cannot understand anyone thinking The Assistant is a good movie. it has no plot, no story, no forward movement. it is essentially a pity party for the new hire at a company who is sad because she actually has to do work. and it is boring as hell.

it was trump i was calling the asshole, which was obvious

as far as Anderson goes he got accused of the same type of inappropriate sexual conduct that many men have in the MeToo era. i believe the LA PD conducted an investigation

Wallace and Nascar went public about this so-called hate crime before any investigation was done and the truth was determined. they should have waited.

the FBI said no hate crime was committed, no crime, and the rope had been there since 0ctober of last year, long before the garage space was assigned to Wallace. and he is definitely benefitting from this non-incident. nobody heard of him before hand and now he’s doing late night talk shows, being interviewed by

Cool. Now will The AV Club do an article about the times Anderson has been accused of sexual assault? Will The AV Club ask Wallace why he’s trading in on a an incident that the FBI says didn’t happen?
