@styfle: I have been building boxes for 3-4 years now... As far as I know, for these years at least, AMD has always been hotter, Intel has always been easier to overclock (more potential). I use AMD (better bang for the buck when über high-end is not required). Cheers.

@rewind: On a more serious note... I did try it but found a problem : when you want to take time off with your wife and/or family, you have no one to take over your work, and you're in trouble. Outside help is better in that regards.
