I'm expecting Helen Mirren/Tom Hanks head-on collision on December 31, 2016.

Does the Committee get to review the speech beforehand? Or could Dylan be sending her there to call them a bunch of embarrassing publicity hounds and that he's rejecting this Nobel Prize and that they can kiss his big black ass?

As you're not him, how would you know, exactly?

Correct. And I think even beyond that, Republicans have a better idea of how politics work. Forget the presidential election. Republicans challenge in every county for every little position, by and large. Not just by running someone, but by working the elections in every facet. We don't.

Tea Party Republicans don't know the difference between sewer rat and pumpkin pie for the most part. But they know how to win elections and control the discourse.

*rolls your mother over*

If you think that, you are willfully ignoring how we're going as a country. Tea Party is winning because they are working micro. And they're getting stronger. We're losing.

I'd feel that strongly about my principles if the figureheads weren't Hillary Clinton, Lena Dunham, and [insert chic Hollywood high school dropout].

I get philosophical on Sunday nights. Must be the gallon of wine and a good nights sleep.

*shrug* OK. The world is either very simple or immensely complicated. Almost nothing in between. Realize that and act accordingly, and you'll almost never be wrong.

Take that premise and write it large. Then despair. I'm as irrelevant as Cassandra and as useful.

You'll be missed.

I have liberal friends and conservative friends. Almost every single conservative friend I've sat down amd explained single payer healthcare to has come around to it. Conservative voters aren't insolvable. They can be reasoned with. They vote their self interest.

I know you're sarcastic, but you've seen that anywhere where mass media controls.

You know I'm right, which is why you're getting angry and defensive.

It is and it isn't. Demographics are fluid. Half the Latinos the Democrats are counting on will be Republicans in 20 years on social issues alone, as they amass capital. Gerrymandering is always a short term solution. Republicans are winning because they've gone long term.

Fair enough. And thanks.

I usually am right. Doesn't mean I can't be wrong, but my batting average is higher than anyone else I know.

Those articles are wishful craziness at best. It ain't happening. Focus on real things.

Oh, did you do that last election? Did anyone you know do it? Did anyone who regularly consumes political comedy do it? It's the internet, you can lie to me and I'll never know. But I'll trust your answer.
