In a lot of the coverage people seem to be conflating religious beliefs with cultural practices. Whereas a Jehovah’s Witness would reject a blood transfusion on religious grounds, the Orthodox community’s rejection of vaccines seems purely cultural. The distinction is important insofar as our laws provide exemptions

Walking barefoot is equal to not vaccinating? Dying. Walking barefoot will give you calluses and you will be fine. You may want to change jobs if you hate your clientele so much.

He was playing in his grandmother’s back garden with two other kids and he must have wandered off or got through a hole in the fence or something. I really don’t think it’s right to cast aspersions on his family for what sounds like an unfortunate accident rather than deliberate neglect.

Eh, probably hardly any. 139 million people voted in 2016. It’s not like everyone (or even every woman) who voted for Hillary showed up at the march. The high estimate for participation in the women’s march in the US was about 5.2 million people.

What are they supposed to do, just not have a gender reveal party? Or have one but not blow shit up? What kind of libtard gender reveal would that be? This was really the only reasonable choice.

I’m a landscaper. I need to use power equipment, ladders, fertilizer, chemicals, touch dirt, lift about 50lbs on a regular basis. I’m currently 9 weeks pregnant and as I’m self employed and this is my job I will be working full time until I’m 8 months then part time through the baby’s first 8 weeks. All of that has a

Every WOMAN is one bad night away from being beat, raped or murdered. Especially if you’re single. In fact, sex workers are often safer because their clients are screened well.

most activities have a <.0001% chance it could harm a baby. Lifting boxes. Being in a car. Stepping off a tall kerb. There is a much greater chance of the bay harming a woman though sooooo.

What are women supposed to do, wrap up in lots of squishy duvets and make a nest in a bed?

A miscarriage is so hard. My sister went through two before conceiving, and waited until the second trimester to even share she was pregnant when she finally had my niece. And then when my sister-in-law, only a month and a half in her marriage, broke her pregnancy by giving everyone a photo of her positive pregnancy

“I felt like I failed because I didn’t know how common miscarriages were because we don’t talk about them,” she said. “We sit in our own pain, thinking that somehow we’re broken.”

Because they don’t have to. “Just adopt!” isn’t always the answer or as easy...as your firsthand experience has shown you.

When my wife miscarried, I was just numb. I felt shellshocked and barely held it together. I know that she had it 100 times worse than I did.

Same. I have a newborn right now but immediately before she was conceived I had an early miscarriage (on Christmas Day just to really add to the experience). Not many know and because I wouldn’t have my beautiful baby if I hadn’t had the miscarriage, those who do know expect me to be neutral or even glad about it. But

I don’t completely know why, but hearing Michelle say “my happiness was up to me” was something I really needed to hear today.

I’m so glad she’s talking about her miscarriage and infertility. I felt like such a failure as a woman because it was difficult for me to conceive, and so alone on this journey. Then I met so many other women who also suffered from PCOS and I found so much hope. Knowing a strong and accomplished woman like her also

To get the overhead space. Airlines created this when they started charging for checked bags. It would still happen somewhat if they didn’t because waiting on a bags at the end of a flight is terrible, but it wouldn’t be nearly as bad.

An acquaitence from high school didn’t have kids & she & her husband were always traveling and posting great pics on social media of them having a blast, which I thought was great. 6 months ago they had a premie (like 25 weeks or some shit like that) and the realization that they weren’t just smart & not having kids,

I’ve been arguing with my father for the last few days who insists that the allegations are all made up and a ploy by the democrats. I’ve given him links to articles, details about the assaults and perjury claims, etc. and its all just made up allegations to him. I even tried pointing out the message this will send

I want to throw up. I am so disgusted by everyone in the Republican party right now.

My uncle Joe, an information systems manager for the city of Los Angeles, took to regaling his two black secretaries with claims of his Bantu warrior roots. (He swears they thought it was funny.)
