They're all just one-way monkeys now.
They're all just one-way monkeys now.
Yeah, the whole Asha/Yara things still bothers me a bit. I sort of get it for the average non-book show watcher, but I thought the Hodor/Walder theory was awesome and was disappointed they changed it.
Ah. I should have guessed…Thanks!
I somehow had it in my head (maybe from a fan theory) that Hodor's real name was Walder, which would fit better with him saying "Hodor" all the time. I was surprised to find out it's Willis instead.
Bandit Princess is a jerk.
I love that it subverts the typical trope of The Chosen One and talks about what the rest of the "normal" teens are up to during a supernatural crisis.
I spent a good chunk of my evening recently checking out some new spring anime. First, I tried Ace Attorney (I'm a die-hard fan of the games), but was sorely disappointed that it seems to be a direct play-by-play of the games.
I started Madoka thinking it would be a fun magical girl anime………Nope.
Oh so fan servicey, which I normally hate, but I love seeing how they best their opponents in the games.
Well said! I fear that this will go the way of The Book Thief, where its magic just doesn't translate as well on-screen.
Oh, I loved The Rest of Us Just Live Here. Siobhan Dowd's books have been on my to-read list for a long time.
The Mouse and the Motorcycle is my all-time favorite book from my elementary school days. I remember watching the movie version in class.
One Punch Man is amazing. I loved how they played with the animation style within the season too.
Ok, I'll give it another try, thanks!
I tried Osomatsu-san (started episode 2 since the first got pulled). I knew I was supposed to be laughing more than I was. But the voice acting is incredible and I want to give it another shot. Does it get funnier?
Erased actually just aired its finale this past week so you're good to binge. While I thought it had its weak spots, it was a solid series overall.
One of my all-time favorites is John Teti's review of Project Runway where they have to design something inspired by a bird: http://www.avclub.com/tvclu…
Yeah, I do enjoy the really dramatic stories (like Simon & Marcy or really anything with The Lich) but Adventure Time really shows its strength when its subtle with the message, like with the most recent Finn episodes.
I wish he would tour over to the U.S. more. I bet he puts on a great show!
I'm a die-hard fan. But it's gotten to the point where, for a lot of the all-stars cast, I think, who are you?
