My friend who got the 2016 Gold R came from a 2011 STI which blew up (his fault). Im sure the golf will be way more reliable and faster. But I thought the STI was just a more interesting car. I feel like the GTI and R are the camrys of hot hatches, with bland and boring looks.

Thats also something I agree with. The looks are just too plain. Everytime I see a GTI or R I think how it should look better and more aggressive or something. Just an opinion. Not here to have people scream at me for it.

Ya the 16 Golf R. I really disliked the seats and the interior. It was quick but I felt different (not as connected) on the road than some other hatches ive driven.

Ya I use the magnetic one and have had it for years. Its a super small magnet base that attaches to the dash somewhere.. And a metal magnetic strip goes in the phone case. It has worked flawlessy and even my friends have bought them now. Its worth the $10 on amazon all day long.
