Do you really not see the issue here? At best it’s cherrypicking data.

Just to correct your shitty reporting, the C8 fuel tank is NOT in the front trunk. If it was, it would be a crash hazard of colossal proportions.

Wrong year. As mentioned elsewhere in the comments, there was a correction factor that took effect in 2017.

Does it not surprise you that I also hate big trucks?

Have you read any of Erik’s work? The hatred is well deserved.

You drove around for WEEKS with your high beams on because you couldn’t be bothered to change your headlamp when it burned out.

But this isn’t just paying for convenience. What he paid for A) didn’t really need done for the most part, and B) if it did, should have cost a fraction of that amount.

He overpaid for unneeded service and then freely put it out there while trying to justify it... for who knows why.

Fucking. Seriously.

Erik Schilling only came to Jalopnik while he continues to search for something better.  Unfortunately for us his writing isn’t good enough for him to land another gig, so he’s stuck writing for something he doesn’t care.

That high beam crap. It still pisses me off.

Ouch!  (and I agree)

Erik Shilling, you are not one of us.

Literally NONE of the things that dealer did actually needed to be done. 68k miles on a Honda Fit is barely rolled off the factory floor. My best friend has one with almost 400k miles on it and the dude goes like 12k miles between oil changes, I think he’s actively trying to kill the car because he’s so sick of it.

This is rough but, it’s the truth. It’s one thing to be writing about a subject you aren’t an expert in. It’s quite another to write about an incredibly stupid and naive thing you did, and try to tell a readership who for the most part are experts in the subject you’re writing about that it wasn’t stupid or naive.

He

SEVEN HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS FOR CONSUMABLES and oh by the way a shady as FUCK quote on injector cleaner? From a Honda Dealer? Look I don’t wrench on my current car (in part because the Lexus dealer experience is so damn good) but I have before and that would get me out the door and down to a service department at

You won’t fail a NY safety inspection due to any of the above unless there was a misfire causing an emissions CEL. This dealer sounds shady.

I don’t know what the “big city fee” is for car work in that amazing giant apple, but from a midwest point of view, he got taken to the CLEANERS on that transaction. Fluids and literally 10 minutes to unbolt a throttle body, spray it, and wipe it with a microfiber cost seven hundred and fifty dollars?? That’s not

I have said it before and I will say it again:

The serpentine belt had a crack in it and needed replacing - Possibly legit, but this is a $20, 10-minute change in a parts store parking lot.

For fucks sake, get Erik Shilling off this blog.
