Wow, quick to hop on the defensive about this...

Yeah, and I truly hate that it’s the reason.
I have a theory as to why, but it makes me a little sad to think about it.
Oh fuck you. Respect that I don’t give a shit about your religious howdy doody. Thanks.
Which is weird since Jesus was Jewish.
“I’m outraged over your intolerance of my intolerance!”
He’s a known, confirmed racist. To the core. Nobody, left or right, should be promoting this guy or his racist family....especially a corporate entity like NASCAR. It’s that simple. There should be no tolerance for bigotry and racism. It’s about time conservatives stopped being tolerant of racists and bigots. Period.
NASCAR and you are both full of shit.
Get fucked.
This post about religious tolerance brought to you by Pizza Yurt! Remember what old Uncle Granddad Amos says “Don’t elect another Muslim Negro!” Thanks for all the moose calls Amos, remember he didn’t molest those kids that was his old ‘buddy’! Now let’s watch a skull burst under a tire!
It’s funny that you mention respect- because holding a prayer for Christians shows a lack of respect for everyone else in the arena. There is nothing wrong with prayer- but a non-denominational event honoring one religion is in bad taste. I love Nascar, but #1 and #3 are bit off, my man.
Respect is neither demanded nor required, it is given when due. It’s really simple. OC sees nothing worth respecting, he doesn’t give it.
“You’re intolerant because you don’t tolerate our bigotry!”
Private prayer. Public prayers, particularly when they make no effort whatsoever to be ecumenical, tend to only make the in-group comfortable while making those who don’t hold those belief get the message they are not welcome at all. People who pray privately for themselves are wonderful, like that guy in Matthew…
I love the look on Dale Jr’s face. “Fuck this, I am going to Indy Cars next year”.
