Oof, as a nearby Minnesotan, I’d be sorry for your loss dear northern neighbor.

Hardly.

Come to think of it, my point still kind of stands, yes everything you say specifically about designer board games are true, but my point would be, “What were designer board game prices back when video games first hit $60?” Designer board games weren’t even much of a thing back then, but it was definitely less than

I doubt either you or I are economy market analysts, so I’d simply cast doubt on the value of going to $100 or not. Gamers seem to hate loot boxes (myself included) and other similar practices, and we’ve been pushing for ages to get them regulated, yet, companies make baffling amounts of money off them yet. You might

That’s just one product, picked it simply cuz it’s also a game, didn’t mean for the comparison to be so absolute. The point was more so that video games in general are some of the cheapest entertainment products, or at least have not changed in years, while other products steadily increase, but somehow people

Oh that’s exactly what it is. Complain as we might, micro transactions make so much money, but somehow people will happily spend $100+ this way, wall the while mad about just paying $100 right off. If loot box laws really happen though, I’m sure a higher base price would be inevitable, and as I mentioned, is highly

Seriously, charge $80-$100 instead of $60, it’s stayed at $60 way too long and needs to catch up to inflation, as is these days I’m spending more on designer board games than AAA video games... board games...

Interesting, only 8? There was like 16 last time right? 8 invitees and like 8 randos? Wonder if that’s the case this time or if literally only 8. If only 8 it makes me speculate on a smaller overall roster size.

Reminds me of Fahey’s thoughts on his kids, “I love my kids. Don’t have kids.”

The only way to keep it truly random free would be one omega stage, one character, and literally nothing else. Heck, even then there’s a random element to a characters launch trajectory. As soon as you add a second character to the roster, you’re adding an element of “odds”. Really it all comes down to where you draw

I like to name Red XIII as Nanaki, then giggle when the party is shocked later on when his name is Nanaki. Also name Cid as Captain.

Funny how some people insist items are somehow less competitive, just practice!

Right? When our department started getting vocal about our poor compensation, we all just got canned... Said Bobby could take one million less a year, he’d hardly miss it, and we’d all get 50k raises... America man...

My main issue is that as a fan of the actually tabletop top game, I’m super disappointed they left out melee weapons, I love having hatchets and swords on my mechs, my main unit even has a chainsaw, but they said it was “out of scope” for this game, even though it mimics the table top version in like every other way.

Almost certainly, though even if that’s the path they choose, this is overall just “winning the battle but not the war” so it’s a small step. If it keeps spreading and more countries do something about the problem, then it forces true reform.

I hate how the prices change over the day. Saw wasteland express was $45, went to buy it now and it’s $62, literally the highest price it’s ever been, yet still shows up in the “sale” list -.-

“The Smashters League”

Still just want miniatures of all of them to make a board game :)

It’s not a fallacy, yours is, by definition, but I’m totally not going to debate logical dispositions with you. On topic, Lena’s reply says it perfectly. Design wise, Halo 5 and Gears 4, aside from being the 4th plus entry in old franchises and nothing new, were mediocre games. Again coming from a huge Halo/Gears 360

Don’t jump to conclusions, it’s not a Sony fanboy thing. For example I was hard core 360 all the way in college, but with this gen MS has dropped the ball so hard, it’s very sad. And regardless of the metacritic scores, the point stands that MS just doesn’t have the quality of games that Sony does; calling out
