The rave scene in Blade.
This article is brilliant.
April Fool's Day already?
Yeah I don't know. Looks to me like an example of turning lemons into lemonade because he took his inconsistent characterization and turned that into CM going crazy (my personal favorite part of the run).
I also love Velocity, so that is disappointing.
My favorite part was the crazy stories from the seventies with Jim Starlin being crazy.
How was Hologram for the King?
I have Matterhorn on my stack to read, looks like I should move it up.
I thought Underworld started great, but I really couldn't finiah it. DeLillo can be very hit or miss with me, and that book turned from hit to miss.
2014 is the year I finally finish Moby Dick. Take that, bucket list item!
You're in for a treat with Never Let Me Go. Ishiguro is one of my favorites.
David Mitchell's Ghostwritten. I'm enjoying it quite a bit so far.
Such a bummer that the story couldn't keep up with the amazing art. Dropped that book like three issues in.
His Captain Marvel was rad though.
Fraction's Defenders is my favorite superhero work of his. I like it better than Hawkeye and Iron Fist. It was the shit.
I would also really, really like a hockey team. Bring back the Seattle Metropolitians!
I think if the NBA comes back it willinstantly surpass the Sounders. The Sonics have gained a near mythical reputation since they left and a return would blow some shit up.
I say this as a "meathead" Seattle fan who cheered for the Fail Mary because I still remember Green Bay knocking Seattle out of the playoffs twice, so take my comments with a grain of salt, buti love Richard Sherman. He has a mouth that doesn't stop when it comes to the field, but the dude is all over with volunteer…
You're an idiot. You can respect people that put their lives on the line and not be a fascist.
For X-Men I'd go further back before Jim Lee. I myself am going through the Essential X-Men series, still early in the Claremont run and that shit is baller. As said below the talk of more recent X-Men begins with Grant Morrison and ends with Joss Wedon.
