While the things they did were awful there's no denying that so much of the technology and research Germany had was used to great extent post war to jumpstart so many technologies.

It's always so weird hearing dubs when you still remember how they sounded in Japanese. Too bad animes like this, Psycho Pass, Shinseki Yori, and Shingeki no Kyojin would probably never air on Adult Swim since they're either not shounen or your typical shounen and that's the only time I really bother watching dubbed…

Neat seeing the effects of the jet steam and geographical features like mountains and seas. Such as the storm system that's going to give us snow all day tomorrow and the wind coming over the Great Lakes meaning we'll get lake effect on top of that.

The effects of terrain on historical warfare were always pretty nice to read. How the mongol Hordes, for example, had difficulties as they traveled westward once they started getting out of the plains of eastern Europe.

Probably doesn't help that so much of Japan is mountains and hills as well.

If you live in the states you'll probably die from the ash cloud if the pyroclastic flow doesn't reach you. If you live in other parts of the world you'll probably die from the nuclear winter it'll force which will cause mass starvation (ESPECIALLY in areas that rely on the US' grain exports).

I kinda just accept that if the volcano erupts during my lifetime I'm screwed.

Difference being that humans can kill each other all they want like they have, and will continue to, for thousands of years but leave everything else out of it.
