There’s so much more meta than just the twist in the first episode. Little things, like Lucas’s struggle to find the word “cancelled”, to Envy being referred to as Scott’s ex, “the big one” - given that Brie Larson’s probably had the best career coming out of SPvTW. (OK, maybe second to Chris Evans. Maybe. But that’s

I watched the first episode and came to the ending and was pretty shocked, then checked out the synopsises of the rest of the episodes and realized just what a great twist it was. Because...yes, we’ve seen this story before — in fact, if you’ve read the comic and seen the movie, you’ve already got two versions, so why

It’s become such a stupid self-perpetuating cycle at this point.

Fewer people watch season 2 of Netflix shows because they know Netflix cancels tons of shows after season 2.

Netflix then cancels shows after season 2 because of declining viewership

Regardless of the controversy, Hogwarts was a pretty mediocre game and it sold because of the IP it was attached to. To imply that it was “snubbed” for awards is to forget that awards are for the actual game delivered, not for the marketing campaign or sales quantity.

It wasn’t misunderstood and there wasn’t any hidden

Just knowing that there is a musical section isn’t really much of a spoiler. They are likely talking about the way the whole thing plays out, which is indeed really cool.

Any actually indie game got snubbed by Dave the Diver. Great game, but pixel art doesn’t make it indie

I cannot stress enough that people should not watch this unless they have no interest at all in the game, but are curious what this thing is.

I think the definition of “indie” is vague enough that anything big enough won’t be considered “indie” and anything small enough will be considered “indie.” See Dave the Diver’s inclusion in the “best independent game” category and Baldur’s Gate 3's exclusion from it. Any “indie” game that’s good enough to win GotY

Baldur's Gate 3 is an indie game.

Wait just a minute, you’re telling me that you think TotK is just more BotW, and then with a straight face don’t think the exact same criticism applies to Spider-Man 2. If anything Spider-Man 2 is far more derivative of its previous games than TotK is of BotW.

Personally I think they’re both excellent games well

They dropped an Acme-brand anvil on Zaslav’s head, to be clear.

The real risk would be the movie then taking off and making a couple hundred million or something, which’d make Zaslav et al. look really stupid.

I’d pay good money to see Wolverine battle his evil clone son from the Age of Sinister timeline Pulverine.

I just hope they let him lose or at least trim that beard next season. That thing is ridiculous.

I cannot overstate how great Eman Esfandi is as Ezra Bridger.

WB’s choices make it clear they are actively embarrassed so many of their most successful film franchises are based on comic books. I’m hoping James Gunn’s love of the medium leads to more films that wholeheartedly embrace the comics that inspired them.

That’s literally the point. WB is no longer interested in TV movies, or direct-to-video, or direct-to-streaming. It’s theatrical or nothing.
Somehow this means that in-development films have to either be converted to theatrical films (a la Blue Beetle), or get thrown in the trash.

The problem, I think, is that

Seeing Ahti in that last screenshot makes me happy. I totally dig on the grumpy old janitor/deity/whatever he is.

Do they mean for deepfaking?”
