Naming tropes isn’t criticism, but calling out weak writing that’s over-reliant on tropes can be.

It does appear that Hill’s death is the “this time it’s personal” kick in the pants that Nick Fury needs to accept the call to action and come out of retirement. Meaning that Maria Hill was apparently killed for the sole purpose of raising the stakes for Fury and moving the plot along.

They also established in the same episode that Skrulls revert to their original form if killed in disguise. She still looked like herself, so Skrull Hill (Skrill?) is off the table.

The “Rabbit Hole” device Fury used to escape Bucky in Winter Soldier was invented by Fitz.

“Art” is doing a lot of heavy lifting here. As a devout, sincere MCU apologist, this show is a product, made to sell Disney+ subscriptions and tickets to The Marvels.

LMDs haven’t been well established in the MCU (outside of Agents of SHIELD, which has a tenuous connection to canon) and I doubt Gravik would have killed a fellow Skrull. I sincerely hope she makes a return somehow, I just don’t know how it could be managed.

If you can pace yourself, and you should pace yourself so the game doesn’t feel overwhelming, you could really start the game now and have plenty of it left when you move to the land of spotty internet.

Generally good advice, but I’m confused what it has to do with the article. Did you post this in the wrong place? I know Kinja can be confusing for people that are bad at communicating. Don’t worry, you’ll get it eventually! 😶

It never fails. Someone makes a reasonable post pointing out how idiotic capital G gamers are being and a capital G gamer has to chime in with a “but actually....” ....and then prove the original poster right.  It’s become automatic.

“Flash must have screwed around with the multiverse again.”

Reddit and Discord have managed to kill forums and we’re all worse off for it.

“Now, please let all of the uber-entitled keyboard warriors eager to take up the cause of the week flame me below. Your rage fueled tirades will only serve to make me laugh.”

I like how you write your own tirade and then just immediately, preemptively shut down any possible response by dismissing them as written by
