I’m also an old, so I’m not sure if it’s meta, but it sure does fit the definition of “ironic” better than any example Alanis ever gave.

“The arrogance and stupidity of these people is breathtaking”
That’s only cuz they conveniently leave out the rest of the slogan.
This claim is recognized by experts to be completely baseless and, many suspect, simply a cynical effort to sew discord among Trump supporters.
They voluntarily went to an event that was purposely not following guidelines. They have no right to be angry, but we have every right to call them FUCKING STUPID.
“...are now terrified and angry that they or their loved ones might have covid...”
The real question is how can I watch this in the US? Nigella is the comfort of Great British Bake Off + a dollop of Sexy that we should all be allowed to escape in at this horrible time. The Brits get a vaccine AND new Nigella? So unfair.
So, not much of a guessing contest, when the first 2 words of your browser tab setting are the guy’s name .... who I’ve never heard of BTW.
“it would be impossible to guess that those lean, athletic gams belong to a member of the Hollywood elite a relatively minor pop star, but they do”
He really does make a point to say how travel changes you worldview, makes you more tolerant and understanding of cultures you may not have known much about. I don’t remember the wording but I remember watching an episode where he went to Israel and his nuanced and honest approach to being able to appreciate that it’s…
One more reason to be on the I Love Rick Steves float: he’s paying his people out of his own money. His travel business of course is completely shut down, but his employees still get paid.
What do you want from them?
As someone who enjoys boring things where nothing happens, I worked through all the Rick Steve’s I could find early in the pandemic! Also the one with the English guy who wears red pants and rides trains.
I love Rick Steves! He’s also got a great show on fascism and how it started. You can usually find it if you search for it.
I was fortunate enough to meet Rick Steves at my job once, as well as giving him a ride in my car. He needed to get to an event that was on my way home from work, so he and his wife rode along with me. He was kind, respectful, and great to talk with. I really enjoyed talking with him for the brief time I was driving.
I. LOVE. RICK. STEVES! Not only is his show fun to watch especially if you love travel but are a broke person who will probably never go to the French Alps, but he’s a great person. I think he’s low-key Christian, but never preachy about it. He’s pro-marijuana legalization, anti-Trump, and not afraid to use his…
Rick Steves is the best. I especially love his little end credit bloopers.
I watch PBS a lot on the weekends, and his is one of my favorite shows. I also enjoy America’s Test Kitchen and anything with Lidia Bastianich. And don’t forget Downton Abbey was originally broadcast there.
It’s pretty ho-hum until you add in the eleven herbs and spices. Really kicks it up a notch.
