I watched it and I don’t think she knows anything about what happened or hasn’t told something relevant. She really came across as self-absorbed and frankly not particularly interested in Meredith or her death. I thought she came off really poorly just in terms of empathy/compassion, but not that she had anything with

“Hey, I know!”

I’m picturing Faye Dunaway screaming this & it’s glorious.

Yeah, I know. I had a really bad day today.

You just know he was intimidated by size and girth.

Typical farmland conservative. Will rant and rave about welfare queens but touch their corn subsidy and watch them lose their shit.

Doesn’t believe in the gub’mint, but takes their money.

Nice to know that this clod has the freedom to participate in multiple armed occupations protesting the gub’mint, while said gub’mint provides him with the financial support he needs since he’s too busy to work an actual job.

Never forget!

It’s for my children, grandchildren… Everything comes from the Earth and if [the government] can get control of the resources, they can get control of the people.”

Pence should be advised to stay clear of 5th avenue in NYC.

Trump’s plan is to murder Pence if he gets elected so he can replace him with Ivanka. Until then, he needs him alive.

I agreed. I usually prefer darker or quirkier comedians (currently enjoying Tig Notaro, Marc Maron and John Mulaney) but Tosh is pretty funny and, like you suggested, it comes down to him being in on the joke. He’s self-aware, while Cook genuinely thought he was the coolest, funniest motherfucker alive.

A billionaire was able to manipulate the legal system to shut down a journalistic enterprise responsible for breaking some of the biggest stories of the last decade.

Carlos Mencia’s voice is like a chainsaw that haunts my nightmares.

Yeah, but Tosh never entered “try to make him a movie star” territory. I feel like Tosh is misunderstood. He’s an asshole, sure, but he knows he’s an asshole and he also makes fun of himself pretty consistently. I find him funny at times. Cook, to me, was never funny. But more importantly, Tosh has self awareness

Somehow Tosh has managed to keep running that persona into his 40s.

This brings me back to that brief, fleeting, but still horrifying moment in time where Dane Cook was a megastar. After that, he was replaced by Daniel Tosh. Who will the next superstar ubiquitously white frat boy comedian be? Only time will tell.
