Has he clarified/walked it back?

idk I dont mind taking an uber pool once in a while from O’hare to my girlfriends place in lakeview. It cuts the uber bill in half. Although there was the one time my pool mate was a doctor and his girlfriend, who made us wait for 40 minutes for him because he ordered the pool as soon as they were taxiing in and

I do like the royal corgis. I once saw the Queen Mother in some kind of car procession many years ago on a trip to England. Well, I saw her gloved hand and a glimpse of her hat anyway. Also: totally dig the expression “give a toss.”

It might vary by city but... I pretty much ONLY take uber pool or lyft line and get paired with someone else less than 20% of the time. And this in LA where tons of people are using it.

Kim was born into a pretty well off family too

Kim is no Princess Di.

“The woman in the article got to make this decision for herself. How do you deal with having to make that decision for someone else?”

The pets I’ve let go and the ones that are currently with me are the absolute #1 reason why I believe it should be available for EVERYONE. Animals have no concept of death or dying. All they know is that they don’t feel good, and they don’t know why. I can’t imagine anyone I love suffering like that, it hurts too much.

You are so lucky to have had that time. My puggy died two weeks ago, and it was so unexpected. He had been slow and not eating well and the vet was trying to figure out what was happening. And then we came home and found him gone. It was so traumatic. I had banked on having some time to baby his old man self and feed

Hug them so much for me. Both my dogs (3 and 4) passed away suddenly and unrelatedly in the past three months. I miss them so much, and feel robbed. Dogs are amazing gifts to us.

I’m sorry about your cat. :( It is a terrible decision to have to make. When my cat got very sick I knew I would have to make this decision but, as you say, it is a little different when you have a bit more time. So I am sorry you had that experience.

Although not lucky enough to not get a terminal illness while still so young.

Cynicism is a way to let stories not touch you. Okay, so you don’t want to feel the feelings. But why not let other people be moved by this story? Not saying that you’re not allowed to express your opinion but I found your comment jarring.

The author of the story mostly writes about social justice. I highly doubt she was plugging Teslas. It is my impression from the story that it was something that her sister was excited about so I’m not sure who you are to judge. It’s not like a Tesla is equivalent to a Honda, which would’ve been weird to reference.

I’m surprised that marketers don’t utilize obituaries for this brilliant strategy.

Right? I mean, marketers are always asking themselves, “how can we create a strong association in the mind of the consumer between our brand and horrible, premature, prolonged death?”

You’re right - I think Teslas are going to be flying off of the shelves now that they have been plugged so blatantly in this article.

It also helps give you a vivid mental picture, just like mentioning the canopy.

Yeah, the X Model with the trick doors. Looks like that brought smiles to everyone’s faces.

To me, it seemed like her dream conveyance, and that’s why it was mentioned. It could have been a Rolls Royce, or a horse-drawn carriage, or a Mini Cooper, or whatever.
