Yes! A friend I’ve known for nearly 20 years has always been thin and I’ve gone up and down the scale. Everyone assumes she’s healthy but she drinks her lunch (2 glasses of wine with a handful of fries she pretends to eat) and smokes a pack a day when she gets home (so no one at work will think she’s a smoker. lol.).

Aside from how obnoxious and offensive that is, it’s also dangerous because the myth than simply being slim means you’re healthy likely leads a lot of unhealthy thinner people to think they’re fine and continue with habits that lead to poor health.

I’m not going to pretend I know anything about Graham’s exercise routine. But, every time I see people say she needs to exercise more, I just think of my friend that is a badass CrossFit athlete... she recently did a truck pull (I’m not a fan of CrossFit, but am in awe of my friend), eats mostly healthy, and will also

You met this person in the US? There is lots of new information coming out about why the high protein, low fat, carbs-from -grains diet does not work, and it explains a lot about US obesity rates. The general idea that fat causes obesity and heart disease is being proven wrong and carbohydrates that trigger an insulin

I mean. She's clearly a deep thinker with lots of fascinating ideas. Just look at this tagline.

Tiegs need to stop talking. We already know her position on fat people and modeling. Frankly, it's nice to see different body types in the media.

She’s clearly perfectly healthy, I’m just saying it’s ironic that Tiegs trotted out the rule of having a 35" or slimmer waist against Graham, and Graham actually has a 30" waist. Tiegs is way out of range on her perception of bodysize. Maybe that’s just from working in the industry too long. Or, maybe she’s a jealous

So full disclosure- I don’t fucking understand how weight works at all. I'm not a doctor like Ms. Teigs here. I know that different people have different shapes, metabolisms, and different health issues that may be effecting their weight. But in the end really, it SHOULD BE that yes, eating right and exercise will

STOP IT CHERYL. THIS IS NOT HOW YOU STAY RELEVANT.

From her own website:

she is very involved in the body acceptance movement i.e. an activist

The funny thing is that Graham is perfectly healthy according to Tiegs’ own standard (or, Dr. Oz’s), so it’s Tiegs who seems to have some dysmorphia going on. Maybe she’s projecting her own eating disorder?

Silk smoking/jogging suit! Would wear ironically. Love the “You’ve come a long way, baby!” patch.

I’m fat but I’ve never smoked cigarettes in my life. I think my odds are better.

hmmm, sometimes , just sometimes, someone needs to think before speaks. I want to see her Med school diploma.

The original Jezebel report calls Ashley Graham a “body activist.” At what point is that patronizing? Like, isn’t she pretty much just a woman with a body and the audacity to believe she deserves opportunities?

Cocaine also works! Don't think it'd be advertised in a magazine though.

get skinny and stay skinny the natural way, folks. with a crippling nicotine addiction! enjoy this matching virginia slim outfit to wear when you accidentally cough up a piece of your lung

Indeed. Cheryl Tiegs was the face of Virginia Slims. That’s what she’s famous for. Is obesity unhealthy? Yes. Do I think a cigarette peddler is the best person to be listening to regarding what’s healthy? No.
