lol. no. A caterham 7 is a purpose built car. The BRZ is a fun car, but it's not a purpose built and impossible to confuse with a general-use car.

lol if you repeat it enough, your dreams come true, right? I don't think the BRZ is a sports car, and nothing short of a sizeable power boost or weight reduction will convince me otherwise. I've done enough miles in it to evaluate it. It would be a fun daily driver as is, but it's not a sports car.

Let's agree to disagree. A lotus elise or exige is a sports car. A BRZ is a fun car, but not a sports car. A GTI is just a faster golf. I know this isn't going to win me any fans, but ... FWD sportscar is an oxymoron imho.

First world problems.

LOL. Whatever you say BIG man.

No one wants to "roll" in a chassis cab merc ... it's a working vehicle, and that's it. Which brings me back to my original point. You don't need 1K+NM in this kind of truck. If it was truly about work, you'd buy something that puts out that torque for over a million KMs with ease.

Sports cars are used for what they were built for way more often than these trucks are. That's just a fact, whether you agree or not. I'll turn your statement around on you and tell you that, no, most don't use these to work or haul. Maybe you don't realize there's a larger ... ahh whatever.

Really? Is that why you're carrying this discussion with me? Because you don't care what i think or buy? I just stated my opinion. Thing is that you KNOW that the vast majority of these trucks will never haul a thing.

You shouldn't be passing people at high speed while pulling a load simply because if/when you get in an accident, people will die, i guarantee it. The most accidents on our highways are caused by big trucks.

Sure, but they punch it, why own one otherwise? Let me put it to you this way. The percentage of veyron owners that actually floor it and/or go fast in it is way larger than people who buy this kind of truck, DON'T hang rubber genitalia from it, and actually haul something with it. Fact?

lol. Why did you NEED to reply to this post? Everything was going just fine. Seriously dude ... yeah a bug is slow, so it needed more power. No one NEEDS 1K+NM of torque ... except big rigs whose sole purpose in life is to pull things over long distances.

Veyrons go fast. This is made to haul stuff, and nearly no one will actually haul stuff with it. Fact.

They're not so expensive (or as massive) here. A mercedes atego will set you back around 750€ a month on a lease, for example.

Your point then? It's not like i'm saying it should make do with 100 lb-ft, am i? I'm just saying 1K+NM is a bit over the top.

So you're saying it requires a semi ...

My old nissan patrol (115 HP, 250 NM of torque) could pull about 8000 kgs up to 90 km/h. It was a piss weak motor, but 4.88:1 gearing made it happen.

And this is why semis are limited to 90KM/H in europe. Because otherwise they'd think they need to pass shit on the highway.

Did you just try to compare 1000+ NM of torque to 140hp?

You most likely do not drive on european mountain roads ... does that prove anything? People here just rent a big semi if they need that kind of haulage. I get it, though. You want to drive the biggest, baddest truck around.

Don't get me started on the GTI. It's just a faster golf. People just throw the term sports car around like it's nothing. I'm sorry, it's not a sports car. It would've been one twenty years ago, but things have moved on. I think it has the POTENTIAL to be a great sports car. I recognize the fact that it has a
